A solid indoor HD OTA Antenna
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had an over-the-air (OTA) antenna in place prior to receiving the Mohu Arc Pro. Size-wise, the Arc Pro is larger than my original antenna but not so large as to be obtrusive for indoor use. It’s approximately 8” high and 11 ¾” wide. Included with the antenna are both an antenna stand and a power injector. The power injector has two attached cables: one being a USB connector (for power) and the other a male coax cable. Regarding the USB connector, the ARC Pro kit does not include an AC adapter to power the injector. But Mohu provides a toll-free number you can call to have them send you a complementary adaptor. I had an unused one at home, so I didn’t need them to ship me one. The Arc Pro has 4 LEDs on the front side of the unit, with the LEDs indicating how strong the signal is you’re receiving from OTA stations. The best I could do was 2 LED’s, and due to the placement of our TV I couldn’t get closer to a window (hoping for a better signal) due to the limited length of the antenna’s attached coax cable. Holding the antenna up by hand and moving it around didn’t do anything to improve reception either. And yet, I found an immediate improvement in video quality compared to my old antenna. Further, there was a total reduction in pixilation issues that I frequently suffered with my old antenna. Mohu makes a couple of claims regarding this equipment. First, that its FirstStage Power-Injected Amplifier mitigates the loss created by the coax cable. They indicate that this results in “less pixilation and increased reception capability.” Okay, I believe that! Second, that the antenna has Advanced Interference Filtering. Apparently, this eliminates interference from 3G/4G/5G signals like cellphones and other cellular-capable devices. I haven’t had the Arc Pro very long, but the picture is very clear and was easy to install. Thus far, every feature claimed by Mohu’s Arc Pro antenna seems dead-on accurate.

Posted .Hi there! Thank you for your honest review of our Mohu Arc Pro Amplified HDTV Antenna. Depending on your distance from the nearest towers, you may need a non-amplified antenna. Phase cancellation can occur if you are trying to use an amp too close to the broadcast towers. We also have a free app called Antenna Point you can download to your iOS or Android phone. Once you download, the app will identify your location. You will see the towers in the surrounding area, so you aim the antenna in the right direction to pick up the TV signals. If this does not help, please give our tech support team a call at 877-825-5572 and they will perform a FREE signal analysis, this will better assist them in pinpointing what the problem may be. It wouldn’t find any channels when I did a channel scan. This product does work well near a window. I know because I have one in my living room.
