But with the Leaf 50 I get clear local channels. The signal cuts out a bit but that's because I'm almost at max range. I'd recommend this any day rather than spend an arm and a leg for hundreds of channels when all you watch are 2 of them. Local channels, Hulu, and Netflix and your good to go

Worked better than expected

But right after I plugged this in I ran my channel scan on my TV and bingo all the local channels I couldn't get before with the non powered antenna! Now when I come home I can watch the local news and get some hint of reality!!!

May need Digital Converter Box.

Don't forget that if your TV does not have a tuner, you will need a Digital Converter box. Can cost an additional $25-$100+.

Posted .Hi FrankD! Thank you for your honest review of our Mohu Leaf 50 Amplified HDTV Antenna. Depending on your distance from the nearest towers, you may want to run a channel scan without the included amplifier. Over-amplification can occur if you are trying to use an amp too close to the broadcast towers. We also have a free app called Antenna Point you can download to your iOS or Android phone. Once you download, the app will identify your location. You will see the towers in the surrounding area, so you aim the antenna in the right direction to pick up the TV signals. If this does not help, please give our tech support team a call at 877-825-5572 and they will perform a FREE signal analysis of your area, this will better assist them in pinpointing what the problem may be. Good reception, but not awesome...

But on overcast days, or when it is stormy, the performance drops dramatically. If you have the option of an attic installation, I would choose a different product. If you are close to towers, or are limited to a window install, it's worth a shot.
