Customers are saying

Customers express satisfaction with the Leaf 50 Amplified Indoor HDTV Antenna's reception, picture quality, ease of use, and range. Many also praise its ease of installation and the number of channels it receives. However, some customers note inconsistencies in signal strength and suggest that optimal performance may depend on antenna placement. The antenna's compact size and price point are also frequently cited as positive aspects.

It picks some stations, others not. If moved inches up or down, right or left, it will pick up others and loose quality or drop the signal for the stations it had recognized before. Therefore, choose what stations you want to watch before setting it in its "final" place. When it picks a signal, it is very good. It would be great to hide the cable, but because we move it constantly, the cable hangs everywhere. Its usefulness is entirely dependent on its location and orientation in the city, in your house, and your choice of channels

This antenna works fantastic!! My husband is so happy I got it for him. We have streaming TV and this works better for his sports programs than just the streaming. I just picked one up for my son for his apartment.

Worked very well in College Park, MD. Able to bring in at least 20 channels. All of major networks were available as well as many other channels in the DC. area. Provided access to basic television for the equivalent of $6/month

I read the reviews of this product and was very surprised at how poor this antenna is. The first thing you notice when you take it out of the box is how cheap the materials are. It says "Premium materials components and cables" right on the box. What a joke! They use cheap RG59 cable, when any quality product would use quad shield RG6 at a minimum. The "amplifier" weighs almost nothing, and I question what's really inside it since it measured no difference on my signal meter. Regardless, I tried it in several locations and it actually pulled in fewer stations than a free rabbit-ear antenna that came with my TV. I called Mohu's technical support, and they were nice enough and made a couple of suggestions, but nothing that worked. I seriously question if any of these positive reviews actually compare this antenna to another one, because if they did, this one would score pretty low. It's just an overpriced piece of garbage. I will be returning it and cannot recommend it to anyone.

We dropped our satellite TV service because of the extremely high cost. This antenna provides excellent reception. My only complaint is that if it's raining hard, the picture sometimes pixellates...but the satellite did that, too.

Salesman said Leaf 50 will go 30 miles in town and 50 miles on flat country. I live on 3rd floor apt. in Cincinnati and I get 59 channels. I get same number of channels with rabbit ears, but the Leaf 50 holds the channel much better. It is about the size of a piece of copy paper and is black on one side & white on the other. It comes with 16' white RG59U coax cable. Seems to work better near a window. Has 2 tiny holes for mounting with provided stickpins. You can buy those little suction cups for X-mas lights to hang it on window. I like that you can plug the amp into the USB port on back of t.v. I have a Sony t.v. and the USB port is labeled "Service Port". That way, the amp turns off with the t.v. I also get channels like Comet, ME, Buzzr, Grit, ANT, GET, Escape, Kung Fu, This, COZI, Decades, Movies! and Bounce.

We bought this to watch the winter Olympic Games, as our family does not have cable. Managed to get some channels but living on this island makes the reception poor thus rendering it almost useless. Not the products fault—living in RI is just depressingly limited.

    HDTV Antenna - Good

It's a good antenna... can't get 1 local channel, but can get most. Have to thumbtack the flat antenna to the wall above the TV and it looks aesthetic unpleasing, just a plastic rectangle with a cord coming from it. If you can get around the aesthetics, then it's good.

You'll need patience when setting this up. Don't return it the next day. Just move it inches in another direction. Some stations are stronger in day rather than night. Move again until all are strong and you've found the antennas sweet spot.

The clerk recommended the unit as being least returned. The coverage maps say we are 32 miles from the towers and the box said it is good up to 50 miles. Unfortunately I got no channels indicated.

It is a great Antenna for cord cutters from cable or satellite companies. I bought 2 of these and both work like a charm. You have a choice on either a white side or dark side, depending on the decor of your home. I went with 1 each side. Easy to mount, come with little thumb tacks that you use, even they are color matching to the side. Comes with a long Coax cord (16ft), plenty of slack if you want it far away from the TV. Overall, Happy!

I tried using an amplified rabbit-ear antenna. This flat antenna picks up more stations and in better definition. Extra stations means more viewing options. I am very happy with this product.

Moved to the mountains of North Carolina. Tired of paying for cable, I decided to see what I could receive over the air. Frankly, nothing. Purchased the Mohu Leaf and now get all the local channels, several PBS stations and more. Very happy!

I had looked online and read many reviews for antennas and I found this one to be the best value for the money. It is not the cheapest nor most expensive. It picked up the channels with ease and the sound and video quality is outstanding.

I get good reception of local over-the-air channels with this antenna. Because it is thin and lightweight, I was able to use thumb tacks to pin the antenna to the drywall behind the TV, where it is not easily visible.

I returned my Insignia antenna because it didn't pick up many channels and most of those were jumpy. This Mohu picked up many more channels right away and they are great quality. Absolutely worth the extra cost.

I have the original unamplified version and just purchased the amplified version for an HD Homerun HD connect. I get all the Chicago channels through the HD connect. There are cheaper alternatives but I decided to go with the original.
