I just cut the cable cord. I am streaming most of the time, but wanted a backup to get the local news just in case. This antennae does the job. You will have to move it around the get the greatest number of channels. Don't forget to write down how many you get for each position. I do need to purchase a longer cable so I can nestle it against the baseboards and corner better.

Purchased this as a gift for my parents who decided to cut cable. They live in a large metropolitan area and they were able to pick up roughly 22 channels (including the 4 major networks). Picture quality was full HD and almost better than cable. They were extremely happy with this gift. 10 out of 10 would buy again.

We wanted to "cut the wire" and were looking at multiple options when I read online reviews about the Mohu - Leaf 50. I have to admit that I was leary about whether or not this (or any) "Hdtv" Aplified Antennas actually lived up to their claims...Well this one sure does and then some! It took only minutes to have up and running and it gets every available channel in crystal clear. We also like the facts that it has two pre made holes spaced wide apart up top to hang it up with and that it can be viewed/displayed on either its white or black side. Of course it can also just be laid down on something but, for us, it's better hanging up so it doesn't get easily moved out of an optimal position which is giving us the best clarity. I'm a believer!

Granted, you don't get the cable channels that you are used to seeing on cable, Dish or Direct, but after this initial purchase you don't have to pay anything else. We were able to get in the neighborhood of 20-25 HD channels, which for the price and the size, is pretty good. We are very happy with this purchase, and we can always pay for a month or Netflix, Sling or one of the other services if we feel the need for more.

This unit came with the amazon fire tv. I choose this because I was cutting the cord with my cable provider and wanted to still be able to access local channels. This thin antenna was able to pull in 32 of the 64 channels that are available in my area. The picture was quite good and some were even better then the cable provider. This is great to have on hand if you lose cable for any amount of time.

Works well for my area. Most channels worked great with few that were a little glitchy.

We can pull in about 20 stations with this Antenna. But one station is only 5 miles away and it constantly cuts out. Get it as close to a window as possible. If you have an older house with Latte and plaster walls, spend the extra money for an outdoor antenna.

Works good for in home antenna. I get the channels it said you get.

The stations that came in over the air were of excellent quality. However, it only picked up 2 out of the 7 stations that the over the air antenna site said I should be able to pick up. It likely (as the website stated) has to do with the location of my house. If you can receive the over the air broadcast stations in your location, it worked well. I took it back because it only received PBS and NBC.

Was surprised to see the high number of channels and the clarity of the tv picture!

Easy to set up, gets all basic channels plus extra ones with old shows I have it near the ceiling behind and above my TV - only once did it have trouble keeping the signal during a very bad storm and that lasted a few minutes. I wish I had cut the cord and done this sooner. I have Netflix for specialty shows. CBS is 23-1 Great signal

This antenna seems to work well, and picks up a decent amount of channels!

I bought this so I could drop cable, local news wasn't supported on any free streaming service, I get 39 channels with this antenna and all are crystal clear

I was disappointed that I still get occasional poor connections and have to move the antenna to a different location. I bought an amplified antenna thinking it would give better results than the 30 I have. It did find more channels (that I don't watch) but the instructions say if having problems disconnect the amplifier! That's why I bought it - for the amplifier!

This antenna works great! Got it for my Mother's house and she get about 40 channels with it in North Alabama. No cable bill for her! She loves the channels and says she has plenty to watch. The antenna itself is flat and comes with push pins to put it on sheet rock. It has a white side and a dark side to match your wall. It is not direction sensitive. I found that its best just to get it up as high on wall as possible.

This Mohu antenna worked great for many channels but the 2 local channels I wanted the most would not come through. I had to return the product due to this issue. The channels that did come in were clear and it worked well. I am right around 50 miles from the tower so this could be why I wasn't receiving all the channels. Good product otherwise just make sure you're within about 30-40 mile range.
