Customers are saying

Customers regard the Leaf 50 Amplified Indoor HDTV Antenna with 60-Mile Range highly for its overall performance, providing clear and crisp channels, and its ability to receive a plethora of channels. The antenna's slim design and small size are also appreciated for seamlessly blending into any decor. However, some customers have noted that the actual range may be less than what is advertised.

Not good for networks in different directions

This antenna works well if the stations are within 10 miles of home, are line of sight, and there are no obstructions in the way. If there are stations with transmitters in different directions this antenna does not work well. In San Diego, ABC uses a different spectrum than NBC or CBS and ABC is very difficult to receive unless the antenna is less than 10 miles , line of sight. I tried the antenna in 3 different homes in 3 different parts of San Diego. I had to move the antenna to the window in each home to be able to receive more than 1 station. Even then I could not get ABC, CBS, NBC all the time. I got the best signal from a location at the beach that had no hill obstructions and was line of sight to all major networks.

We were tired of paying for cable so we read the reviews on the Leaf 50 indoor HDTV antenna and decided to try one out. We have been using it for about a month and are not disappointed. We get about 20 channels for our area and the picture is high quality! If you are tired of paying ridiculous prices for cable, give it a try!!

For me, and my location this worked great. Opend up the box, connected to tv, scanned for channels and I was watching crystal clear channels, I got 18 channels. The number of channels will vary by location. It also comes with a plug in booster. For me I was better off not using it in the location I decided to keep my Leaf. I did try the Leaf in the basement on other side of house, farther away from signal and I did use the booster and only got 12 channels. For some of my tv's it took me a little time to place the right location to get maximuim channels. Get one, play around with it in different spots. See if it works for you. You have 30 days to retunr it if you are not able to get a signal, just save all the paperwork and box. (45 days if you are a elite plus member)

I was ready to pull the plug on expensive cable bills, but not sure I'd be happy. This antenna gives me the local channels I need and the picture is beautiful!

Very easy to install with a very generous cable length. The store person suggested it would work hanging it on the back of the TV but that is not ideal. I hung it on the wall behind the TV. As long as I do not push the TV too close to the wall it picks up all the stations I expected.

My cable went out again yesterday so I just switched to this antenna and watched a movie in glorious high definition. Great backup, plus access to some antenna channels that cable doesn't offer. And it costs less than a month of cable.

We were using a rabbit ear antenna to attempt to get signals. All of the stations we want to receive are quite some distance away. This particular unit does exactly what we want and pulls in stations that we had trouble with before. We can't get cable where we live. Nor do we have fiber optic lines anywhere close so that option is out. Also don't want to pay the monthly bills for dish, etc. This is perfect for what we want.

My Mom is in her 80s and was not able to use the complicated remote that came with the cable/tivo system that's mandatory in her building. I bought this Mohu amplified antenna, unplugged the cable/tivo stuff, plugged in the Mohu antenna, and voila! She now receives about 35 channels that are clear as a bell! (The remote is now back to the "regular" one that originally came with her digital TV.) She lives in southeastern VA and is in a 4th floor apartment, so the height helps. On the flipside, her building has very thick cement walls, which I don't think is conducive to antenna use, but the Mohu amplified antenna came through like a champ. (I put it up on the wall behind one of her pictures to hide it. The cable that comes with the antenna is 16 feet long, which gave me more leeway in its placement.) Installation instructions were easy to follow.

Antennea works great! Obvioulsy takes messing with in different places to get best results but once you find it simply mount it and get tv for free. We were able to get 30 channels including major networks ABC, CBS, NBC, love the fact that we could cut the cable!

We loved this antenna! It got way more channels than we expected. We had very high windows in our old house, and had the shades half-drawn all the time, so this hid nicely behind them. Just a suggestion, if you don't want to see it.

I find this antenna very good, it catches almost all channels I want, but not all available. I live in a secluded and wooden area where even it's difficult to get decent cellphone signal, so I guess I can't complain much. The only objection that I have is that the velcro discs don't hold very well.

I remember a time before CABLE when I could purchase a TV and did not have to spend more money to watch regular broadcast channels - just the effort of directing the TV antennas in the right direction (though at times a little tricky). Now, the choice is only a Package of channels that cost over $100/month, many which are never watched, and cables or satellite dishes attached to our roofs... until I found this! This device is really easy to install onto the back of the TV and (in my area about 25 miles from NYC) picks up all regular programming and then some! For anyone looking to "cut the cable", I highly recommend this antenna!

I live in an apartment it took me 4 different antenna's before I found one that would pick up all the channels. I had to move it around a bit to find the best location but once I did it's worked fantastic. Saving big $$ from cutting the cord from cable.

I bought this to bring in the local channels, because I'm giving satellite TV their walking papers, tired of paying for TV I don't watch and can't understand. It brings in most of the 47 or so local channels very well, and is very easy to install and set up.

I am pleased with this antenna. it receives more channels than my old indoor antenna did. the picture comes in clear and highly defined. it's a bit more than my old antenna cost, but for what I receive it was worth the price. very easy to set up and use.

The antenna does not pull in stations from 50 miles away, or even 25 miles away. However, it does do a stellar job with channels 20 miles away, better picture and sound than I ever got on the cable. But I was hoping to access channels a bit farther away....

Needed a way to get TV in an elder home that didn't have cable readily available for short term. Saw a review for this online and decided to try it. It worked well pulling in about 50 channels locally. This would be a great idea for a dorm room and definitely great for elder care home rooms!

Great design however for some reason on a certain time of day i dnot catch certain channels... I'm not sure if it's the weather or something is blocking the reception at those times.. I live in a condo, concrete walls, this may play a factor on the reception as well.
