If you are not getting many of the local channels for your area, we recommend running a channel scan without the included amplifier. In most cases an amplifier isn’t necessary unless TV signals in your area are low power, or you have longer cable runs to multiple TV. If this tip does not help, please contact our Customer Care Team at 877-825-5572. We will troubleshoot for you to pinpoint what the problem could be. I live about 60 miles from Boston and 30 miles from Manchester, NH. Based on the various maps available online, broadcast signals should be available at my house. However, I think that these ranges are based on an external roof antenna. The only signals that I could receive with this were 4 PBS stations from Durham, NH. I had to return it. There is a Roku App - NewsON - that allows me to receive local news. Unless you live very close to broadcast towers, I'd stay away from purchasing.
