Okay, not getting anywhere close to the number of channels it claims I should be getting. Could be the placement behind the TV, but according to the package it should work. CS says I should try moving it to a window, but who wants this rectangle obstructing the view outside. The picture quality is good for the channels I do actually get.

Hi there, Doc! Thank you for your honest review of our Mohu Leaf 50 Amplified HDTV Antenna. In order for your antenna to achieve the best possible signal reception, we highly recommend you placing your antenna in front of your TV, instead of behind it. High up or closest to a window is always best. You may also want to run a channel scan without the included amplifier to see if you may receive more channels. In most cases an amplifier isn’t necessary unless TV signals in your area are low power, or you have longer cable runs to multiple TV. If these tips do not help, please contact our Customer Care Team again at 877-825-5572. We will troubleshoot for you to pinpoint what the problem could be. We will also have tips on how to improve your reception in general while facing certain obstacles. We are available 7 days a week to help! Thank you. Mohu

Since cutting the cord over a year ago finding the right antenna for local channels was a challenge. After trying a few I found the mohu leaf and couldn't be happier. Easy installation and was able to pull in over 60 channels.

I love my Mohu 50. Perfect over the air reception in the heart of NYC & the Mountains of Vermont. I get 35 channels in NY & 15 in Vermont. Have cut the cable cord in both places & I'm saving $40-50 per month. Thank you Best Buy!

The Mohu50 Antenna was thought to be a multidirectional antenna. The antenna works well, but needs to be facing the direction of the network city. This is not a deal breaker, it just interferes with channel surfing. When the antenna is facing the network, the reception comes in great.

Bought this since the signal strength of most channels in my area is low according to the FCC website. The installation was a snap! Took 10 minutes with moving the antenna to different locations. The TV has an open USB port so that allows the signal booster to plug directly into the TV. One less cord! Works great! Get all the channels the website said could be picked up. Very pleased with the purchase a month in.

I actually taped this to a window and then rescanned for the channels. It picked some Greensboro stations from Concord which I was not able to get before. I do have to move it around to get other stations. It is strange that I have more trouble getting local stations than those farther away.

I've tried several different digital antennas through the years and never had good luck with any of them, when tuning they would always be missing a channel or two. Wanted to try one more time in order to "cut the cable". The sales person highly recommended the Leaf 50. I took it out of the box and after a few attempts to find the best location for the antenna I was able to get all my channels and then some I wasn't expecting. I now have a variety of TV channels, enough to keep me happy and be able to not pay the high monthly cable bills.

I had previously used an amplified antenna, but this one was 10 times better! I get more channels and there is less interference when people walk by. It was recommended to me by tv floor staff. Only issue was the tiny pins for hanging on wall are easy to bend. Definitely worth the price!

Works well for our use. We just want local channels for news and it works well. Sometimes it gets a little static and we move it about an inch and the picture comes right back. If you can, point it towards the closest satellite tower (which you can find online).

I bought this antenna as the nearest tv station transmitting the signal is more than 40+ miles from my house. Definitely - worth every dollar spent as I have been getting more channels with a better quality picture.

This works ok in a cabin we have in a central area. We are not isolated so stations are available. Would not recommend as your only source of television.

After finding a good place to put this antenna, I am very pleased with the number of channels that we get from it. We get all the major channels, except for ABC. We also get several other channels that I enjoy watching as well.

I bought two of these when my cable bill went too high. I am able to get maybe 30 channels or so!! The picture comes in crystal clear too. I'm very happy with this purchase. And it saves me a ton of cash besides!!!

Definitely something you should test out immediately before deciding if you want to keep it or try something stronger. I've purchased one for myself a year or so ago, and so far have had a decent experience with it. However, it isn't the same case for when I purchased one for my mother, who can only catch about half of the channels I can despite not living much further from the various TV stations than I am. Set-up is fairly easy, though you might be spending some time figuring the best location for the antenna as it doesn't take much for the signal to be blocked by something. The biggest advantage here is the price and the size. I doubt many people want to spend too much for local channels when streaming is an option, so this is at least one option to consider if you're on a budget.

The amplified leaf pulls in lots of stations as expected. The surprise was that the claims that the digital signal through an antenna is actually clearer than cable! We followed up by buying one for my in laws.

With antennas, you've really got to try a few. Depending on your location, antennas will pick up different stations on a variety of factors, this one worked the best for us, but is still finicky.

The Muhu leaf fifty indoor amplified HDTV antenna works! I can get over 35 channels - local ones and a few shopping channels from PA & FL.I followed the directions (very simple) and the trouble shooting sheet states 1st is set it up high, 2nd keep away from metal & 3rd Try it without The Amplifier because the signal from the tower can over power the amplifier. The trouble shooting sheet covers those three points. Overall this antenna does the trick I bought other indoors amplified antennas but this seems to do the trick for me and gets the most channels and doesn't cost more then $20.00 or so from the lower end antennas I bought. If it does't work for you you can return it back to Best Buy within 14 days I believe.
