With that being said I was in door on a ground floor apt with no windows facing in the tv tower direction.

The map showed we were in an area were we would D nloy need a 30 mile unit. But most likely due to trees and hills it just did not work.

My old cheap antenna works better! Unfortunately I purchased this curbside...And I was not given a receipt. I think it’s going to be an issue returning it. Do not buy this!

I don’t get some channels at all. Shouldn’t happen because we’re not that far from the broadcasting towers. It’s facing the window too.

Everything stays at a constant temperature and we have plenty of room. We haven't had it that long but so far we have had no problems with it.

Posted .Hi there! The signals can very well be disrupted by trees as your mention. Aside from trees, building materials like brick, metal siding, stucco, and radiant barrier are the biggest causes for signal interference when an antenna is installed in an attic or indoors. Also, if you are in a more urban area, please try running a channel scan without the included amplifier to see if that helps. In most cases an amplifier isn’t necessary unless TV signals in your area are low power, or you have longer cable runs to multiple TVs. I researched the distance of the stations prior to pu chase and all were less than 40 miles. The antennae could only pick up sporadic stations at best. Had to upgrade to outdoor.
