Sometimes over-amplification can occur if you are in a short distance from the towers and it is not needed. It is also important to remember to place the antenna as high as possible to achieve the best signal reception, and re-scan for channels each time the antenna is moved to a different location. Trying to go "cable-free" and still get local channels, we bought this antenna hoping it would allow us to view tv using YouTube TV. While browsing antennas in best buy, the sales person brought up the fact that we could return it if it didn't work. My guess is she expected us to be returning it. Maybe she knew the area enough to know it wouldn't work. We returned it without incident. Happy with service @ Best Buy.

I talked to a tech guy from my local NBC affiliate and he couldn't figure out why, especially since their antenna is right next to another station's antenna from which I am getting a signal. Also, there is another station whose broadcast antenna is in about the same location, but I can only receive their signal by holding onto the Mohu antenna itself - when I let go I lose the signal.

A big disappointment and a waste of money.

Posted .Greetings! We apologize for any trouble you may be having with our Mohu Leaf 50. Placing an antenna in the right location is key to getting better signals. We do have a free app called Antenna Point you can download to your iOS or Android phone. Once you download, the app will identify your location. You will see the towers in the surrounding area, so you aim the antenna in the right direction to pick up the TV signals. Also, make sure the antenna is as high up as possible and that you re-scan for channels every time it is moved.
