Sometimes over-amplification can occur if you are in a short distance from the towers and it is not needed. It is also important to remember to place the antenna as high as possible to achieve the best signal reception, and re-scan for channels each time the antenna is moved to a different location. We recommend that you move the antenna to another location and rescan the TV for channels. I live just under 30 miles from tv station towers and I was getting very choppy reception. Returned it and bought a Clearstream MaxV antenna for about $10 more. I get perfect reception on 54 channels from inside my home.
