Sometimes over-amplification can occur if you are in a short distance from the towers and it is not needed. It is also important to remember to place the antenna as high as possible to achieve the best signal reception, and re-scan for channels each time the antenna is moved to a different location. The "rabbit ears" I already had that was free from Spectrum worked just as good if not better than this device. The channels were not always clear. I don't use it anymore because I now have access to the channel I wanted.

Over-amplification can occur if it is not needed. We also highly recommend placing the antenna as high as you possibly can on a wall or in a window. This will help achieve the best signal reception.
