In these cases, we suggest moving the antenna to a couple different locations and running some additional channels scans after moving the antenna to see if you can pick up the signals that are not coming in. Tried it with and without the amplifier and looked for the perfect spot, still terrible. I ended up subscribing to Hulu Live to fully appreciate my new TV. Tried cord cutting but clearly living in the Bay Area has it's limitations with these indoor antennas.

It did not work for me, but it's probably because I reside in a mountain area. Different locations in the house at my windows, as well as outside still only received one local channel. I had to return it.

And yes it lived up to my expectations and I would give it a 4 star rating. Got most channels with a 5 minute setup....BUT...The cable connecting to the TV is only 4 feet (permanently attached) and the rabbit ears are clumsy and unsightly. So it was not for me. I returned it and purchased the MOHU 50. This is exactly what an HDTV antenna should be. The cable is 15 feet long so you can reach most windows and keep it out of sight (along baseboards). The antenna itself is paper thin and seems very durable. It includes double backed Velcro and stick pins for window or wall attachment. It took 5 minutes to setup and install. For performance honestly I did not get anymore channels then the RCA antenna so your paying 3 times the price for equal performance. That said to me the design aesthetically and convenience is worth the extra cost. I actually bought the Roku premiere + combo package. $30. in savings which made up for any perceived value issues. Next up tuning for channels, this and all antenna's are highly sensitive to positioning. Moving the antenna from one window to the next or the lower half of a window to the one above changed channel reception. I literally lost some local channels with a movement of 5 inches in either direction (this is where the 15 foot cable pays off). I didn't mention the broadcast picture quality, it is incredible!!! There are sites that will tell you what direction the signal is coming from and how many channels to expect. Use them! I got 32 out of 38 possible. Lastly if you couldn't get this antenna to work I guarantee it was because of positioning (or you were doing something wrong). If you think it's over priced compared to cheaper HDTV antenna's. You have a valid point but you sacrifice convenience and aesthetics (and if you move you may need that longer cable). For $20.-$30 dollars extra for something that will perform for years why compromise. Good Luck!
