Try placing the antenna as high as possible, as trees and buildings can block the TV signals. You will also need to face the antenna towards the largest cluster of towers in your area. You may need to move the antenna to several locations to find the best reception. Remember to rescan for channels at every location you place the antenna before permanently attaching the antenna to any surface. Mohu 50 vs. RCA 1251
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First purchased an RCA 1251 antenna (rated up to 60 mile range); a dependable $25 unit. Pulled in around 11 stations. Got most major networks within 25 miles, but could not pull in Fox. I want those sports! Fox broadcast source is 45-50 miles away. The Leaf (rated at 50 miles) pulled it in clearly, now I have around 25 channels. Compared to what I save each month by ditching the cable, I can justify the one-time $77 for Mohu. While other geographical factors affect your result, in my case, this was a definite good investment. Highly recommend it!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So when I went to tvfool it said I had 5 stations within 40 miles and the rest it recommended an outdoor antenna. We had an outdoor antenna in the past but I just didn't want to go through all the hassle again. The leaf had a lot of good reviews and I liked that it wasn't big and bulky. I bought the amplified thinking that might help pull in more stations. I brought it home hooked it up and scanned and got 24 channels! I got ABC, nbc,cbs,fox,cw, PBS and a bunch of others. I wasn't even expecting to get all the majors so I was very happy. Also I had to play with where it was..I actually hung it right next to the TV and got 20, went to my window and only got 10 so went back next to the TV and as high up on the wall as I could and got 24. I am very happy with my purchase and the picture is stunning

I bought it to replace a directional antenna that picked up maybe 3/4 of the local channels and I would have to readjust it every time I changed channels the signal would often break up. Now, with this antenna, I get every local channel with perfect clarity. I live in the middle of the city, but the broadcast antennas for some local stations are 30+ miles away in outlying areas, so this antenna with its 50 mile rated range was perfect. Also worth noting is that the antenna comes with a super long coaxial cable, so it shouldn't be a problem for anyone to position the antenna in the best location, but if you need a longer cable, the coaxial cable can be disconnected from the antenna.
