We live on the south side of Denver near 25/225 and were using an HD antenna since summer 2013, we don't watch much TV, but could not get the ABC channel, and I figured 3 years later maybe the technology has improved. Bought this new indoor antenna and unfortunately, can't notice a difference between the two antennas, still can't get ABC! This one is less bulky, it is almost paper thin so that is nice. Will continue to use it because of that, but still have issues from time to time with reception, even on the channels that for the most part come in regularly. It still beats paying for cable and we basically just use it for local news in the morning.

    Excellent over-the-air antenna for cord-cutters

Mohu makes a lot of promises with this antenna -- that it's one of the best, if not the best, antenna on the market is chief among those promises. And, frankly, at first glance, it doesn't look like much. It barely resembles those rooftop antennas that for decades have been synonymous with free broadcast TV in hard-to-reach places. It looks like a sheet of paper attached to a coaxial cable attached to an amplifier attached to a power cord. And, honestly, how powerful can that be? I don't know. But what I can say, having used this antenna for a month, is that it lives up to those promises -- but only if you live far away from a metro area. This antenna is intended to work 25 to 50 miles away from a broadcast tower, and it does an excellent job pulling in and locking on to a signal. I don't know how it does this -- Mohu claims it uses proprietary technology inspired by battlefield technology used by the U.S. military, and maybe that's true, or maybe it's just a marketing gimmick -- but as far as I'm concerned they could say it was built by NASA scientists responsible for the moon landing. It wouldn't make a difference. What matters is whether this antenna works. And it does. Really well. At $70 a pop, it could get expensive equipping every TV in the house with one of these things -- and the pricepoint alone is enough to make people consider a cheaper, more aesthetically-complex model from a competitor. But let me tell you, having owned one of those as well (a Terk Amplified antenna that looks like it could poke someone's eyes out), this outperforms those antennas hands down. If you're having trouble pulling in and locking on to a TV signal, or you're getting only some of the channels you should be, pick this bad boy up. You won't regret it.

    Great Antenna

I had the Mohu 30 which worked great (Sacramento area), but when I sold my home and moved to an apartment, my apartment faced the wrong direction from the broadcast towers and I was more than 20 miles from the towers in downtown Sacramento. I could bring in several of the major local stations, but they would become pixelated and I would lose audio every few minutes. I bought the Mohu 50 and hooked it up without the amplifier and immediately received ALL the broadcast stations in the local area but a couple had weak signals. I hooked up the amplifier and all come in nice and clear plus a few stations from the San Francisco Bay area......weak signals, but at certain times of the day they come in nice and clear. You do need to move the antenna around the room to find the best reception for all stations but the nice long coax cable allows me to do that and I can get a longer one if needed. I currently have it sitting in the window near the TV. When hooked up to my Tivo, the reception is not as good as when I hook it up directly to my TV, but the TV has a better tuner in it than the Tivo. Doesn't matter much since the two stations that I record off of the most have crystal clear reception. As with any antenna, there are things that can interfere with the broadcast signals (airplane traffic, metal objects, people moving around the room and even car traffic on the road etc.) and location affects the signals also. Some stations just have a weaker signal than others. Overall, it's a great antenna and performs exactly as I expected it to. Just an FYI, when I owned my home, I had it on top of my entertainment center using a makeshift stand I created from an old letter holder.

Cut cable after constructing basic antenna from coax and coiled extension cord and got 7 channels. Went off 50+ mile rating, as stated on this site description, to purchase. Bad move. Before purchasing, go to www.gomohu.com and put in your zip code. It will honestly say how many and which channels you will get. Not all within 50 miles from you. Says I'd get 10. I got 11. Does what mohu says it will so it gets 4 stars. I believe it's way overpriced, even for USA made, so not 5 stars. Debating on returning for the sky 60 model so I can get FOX.

I have to tell you, I was quite skeptical about this antenna. I live in a 60 year old house with aluminum siding on a lot with huge trees, so I thought I'd have to try at least a few antennas before I found one that gave me the big 4 networks I really wanted. Unbelievably, I hooked up the antenna, taped it to a window, and immediately scanned 21 channels, including the big 4 and PBS. The Mohu site said I should be able to receive 18 channels and I got 21!! This antenna WAY exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend that anyone wanting to cut the cord give this antenna a try. I know it's the best 70 bucks I've spent in a long time!

My neighbor and I bought the leaf 50 the other day. I installed his and had to try two different walls. I placed it behind a painting in his room to hide it,It seems to work well and he is pleased with it. I placed mine on a window and have better reception...actually excellent reception with 63 channels. The picture is sharp and clear. I bought a digital optical cable and hooked it up to my receiver, so now I have true 5 channel sound, just like I have with my Direct TV. Now that i am perfectly satisfied...I can cancel my Direct TV.......Good bye sattelite

Coming from a former Winegard fan, Mohu has won me over with the Leaf line of antennas. The Leaf 30 is great if you live near towers but the Leaf 50 really shines the further out you go. I was using a Winegard Flatwave 5500A until recently, when I decided to take a chance on the Leaf 50. While the Leaf 50 is a bit more expensive, it performs better than the Flatwave. I was able to get more stations across the board with the Leaf, and the Leaf has a better build quality. Setup is not unlike other HDTV antennas. You just plug in, scan, and go. Nothing special in the packaging, just a coax cable mainly. Overall a great product that delivers on free tv. Screw cable!

    Exceeded My Expectations

My husband and I decided to "cut the cord" on cable a little over a month ago. We had a set of basic "rabbit ears" to use to try and pick up our local TV signals. Since we do live within the city limits, I believe they would've worked out just fine except for the fact that our neighbor's home was hindering many of the signals from coming through. We only could pick up 2 channels, and that was iffy at best. We seriously considered mounting an external antenna on the roof, but didn't want to do that if we could avoid it due to our living in a region known for tropical storms and hurricanes. We found the Mohu Leaf online and began reading reviews. We knew it still might be a toss-up given how close our neighbor's home is to ours, but decided it couldn't hurt to give this antenna a try. We are blown away not only by the number of stations that we now receive, but by how BEAUTIFUL the picture is! Ours is a 4K TV and the Mohu Leaf 50 lives up to the claim of it being "future ready". Everything is coming in crystal clear. What's more, we didn't have to try the antenna out in multiple areas before we got great reception. It was good from the first test. In fact, we're pleasantly surprised that we were able to hide the antenna behind the TV itself and still get great reception. If you're wondering if this antenna really lives up to what it claims, wonder no more! Definitely give it a try!

I live on the top floor of a condo where all the windows face a wooded area of very tall trees that are only a few yards from the building. I was skeptical that we would pick up anything but the TV found 30: the 3 major networks in HD plus a few more like HSN and QVC, and the local Public networks. Most of the others stations, we are not interested in the programs, or the picture tiles so you can't watch it anyway. This worked much better on the window than it did on the wall or laying it flat. Not that this mattered to me but the box said it is double sided which I thought one side black and the other white, but it's white on both sides. Not a deal breaker and we are getting another one today for our second TV.

This thing was super easy setup. Found over 50 channels in three minutes. 10 are televangelists, 7 don't connect at all, 7 are like really bad 70's shows that weren't good then, 6 are PBS, and a couple are bad British. Subtract all that and you have your locals, and a couple other borderline decent channels. Basically 10-15 channels you might watch. 3-6 you probably will. We're back to the stone age but at least we aren't paying $100/mo for ESPN and AMC.
