Customers regard the Leaf 50 Amplified Indoor HDTV Antenna with 60-Mile Range highly for its overall performance, providing clear and crisp channels, and its ability to receive a plethora of channels. The antenna's slim design and small size are also appreciated for seamlessly blending into any decor. However, some customers have noted that the actual range may be less than what is advertised.

I live pretty far from the city, at the outside range of where all of the "locate the tv antenna" websites put the non-outdoor antennas. I don't care about getting 50 channels from my antenna. I just want the primary network channels. This antenna was the first that I tried and after several tries at optimal positioning, it seems to be doing the job pretty well. Not great, but I had low expectations to begin with. I'd buy it again.

I hooked up this antenna on my basement TV (in the basement) just to try it out initially. It brought in 26 channels and each was really high def. It looked much better than the cable signal. I will be hooking it up on the upstairs TV once I get rid of the tube TV and get a modern one. It got great reception in the basement - can't wait to see how well it does upstairs.

    Near-cable-quality reception!

I was a little concerned after having read some negative reviews, but those mostly seemed to be from people living in rural areas. I bought this antenna for my mother-in-law to go along with a TV and wall mount for her bedroom, which has no cable TV jack. She lives in a 2-story townhouse condo, and we have the antenna sitting in a high window, which faces west. We are in a fairly urban area, and she was able to receive nearly all of the local broadcast channels. There was one that we couldn't get at first, but then she was able to get it the next day. With the signals being digital today, the picture quality is practically the same as cable! Yes, there are occasional dropouts, where you get that pixelation effect (equivalent of static in the analog days). But it works quite well, and we are very pleased with this antenna.

    Best indoor antenna

I tried several indoor HD antenna's and the varied in how well they irked but none before this one allowed me to get all the channels I was supposed to be getting. Once I found the "sweet spot" to place it, everything came in crystal clear. If looking for an indoor TV antenna, you will not find a better one. I know, I looked.

Indoor antenna with limited results while living in a valley city. Probably performed better than I expected. If you're willing to move around antenna when you tune to a different channel, you'll get better reception. Probably more suited for metropolitan area rather than rural.

The product itself brings in Signals within range - excellent and it hides away. But note that if you have a VHF signal, this product only has a 10 mile range. If you're looking to get ABC/CBS/Fox, etc - make sure you check your distances to those locations - most are UHF. My local NBC affiliate is VHF and 39 miles away - i needed to get a different, stronger, product to bring it in.

I cut the cable cord in 2015 and I have been experimenting with different antennas. This product increased my channels like no other and finally allows me to see CBS. I did have to play around with placement and I even ended up moving my TV so that the antenna could be placed closer to a window. It worked. Worth the money (59.99 on sale.)

Note that this antenna is intended for indoor use. I am an professional electronics systems installer and first I ran a new coaxial line and installed the antenna on my roof to an existing antenna mast/pole sealing the connectors. Then I ran the line to the television and received 35 rock hard HD channels. The entire installation took less than 20 minutes and my dollar savings are great!!!! Excellent HD pictures, no blurring or blackouts and programming information is displayed such as program name, date, channel, and time of day. No need for cable or satellite.

Bought this OTA antenna to use with my SlingTV/AIRTV. I had purchased a DIY/Homemade antenna thru craigslist and it wasent catching FOX or ABC, CBS was a hit or miss and really only NBC was coming in clear. I thought for sure this was going catch all major networks, nope, not at all, didnt give me any better signal than with the DIY antenna. I tried it with or without the amplifier, same result. I quicky ran a COAX cable to the attic thru a existing hole i used for my security cameras, climbed into the attic and attatched the antenna, got my phone, opened Sling and rescanned for channels and it caught 53 channels. They all look great now. I'm curious if i take my DIY antenna and connect it in the attic how many it will catch.

When I decided to cut the cord I knew there would be some channels I'd like to still receive. I went online to best buy and checked out all the different indoor antenna's and the MOFU gave me the best rating and reviews. Once I got it home it hasn't disappointed me one bit. I get all the channels I wanted plus more. Thanks best buy again...

Please check out Mohu website http://www.gomohu.com/zip-code/ and enter your zip code. Based on your zip code you will find out how many channels you can get from this device. This device is amazing!!! I was able to get 65 hd channels absolutely free. Set-up was real easy. There is no reason to buy a box from the cable company to get basic channels. I found out that I get more channels from this device than what the cable company was providing from basic channels.

Unable to access all local channels

We finally cut the cord. The Leaf helped with securing 73 beautiful local channels but we could not get KPNX (Channel 12 in Phx) to stay no matter if we used the amplifier or not. I'm guessing it's the angle of my windows? My husband, a sports nut, started to lose his mind because MNF and the Olympics broadcast on this channel (mind you, we are still pretty far out from both seasons) so we were forced to hire a pro and install an outside antenna and drop this Leaf plan. Another major local channel was also a bit temperamental at times. Frankly, I really didn't appreciate seeing the Leaf on my wall or sitting in my window (and the wire hanging out of my shutters). So now, I donate $120 worth of Leaf antenna's to a non-profit.

We wanted to dump cable, yet still have access to local news, OETA/PBS, and HD channels. We lucked out because the Best Buy associate who helped us had tried several antenna's himself and was able to point us in the right direction. We still don't get local ch 8, which is why I rate it a 4 not a 5. We are very happy.

We officially cut the cord and tried this for local channels. We are about 65 miles away from the signal towers, and this did a pretty good job. I did end up picking up an outdoor antenna for better reception, but I did give this to my daughter who is closet to the towers and she gets great results!

I recently did away with cable vision. I hesitated purchasing this. After getting it home and the initial hooking up, I loved it. For the one-time cost of the antenna, I'm getting a VERY clear picture and over 20 channels. No more cable bill.

I had purchased a portable dvd player with a built in tv tuner for camping and hunting trips in my cabover camper. The antenna that came with the device was okay, it picked up about 10 channels, none of which were major networks i.e. fox, abc, cbs etc. So I set out to find a better antenna. I literally tried 7 different antennas before I bought the mohu leaf. After sticking it to the window of my camper and running the cable to the 12volt dvd player I was able to pick up over 40 channels including 3 out of the 4 major network channels! I then purchased the RG 6 coaxial cable for $6.99, the mohu leaf comes with a decent cable but the RG 6 is what the cable companies use. I was then able pick up over 50 channels with all of the major network channels. I can't tell you how nice it is to have free cable t.v. when you are camping. I would HIGHLY recommend this product.

    Depends on location/age of TV

We purchased 2 of these antenna when we cut our cable and went with online content. We wanted to still get the local channels and thought this was a good solution. Our newer smart TV purchased in 2015 works great with this antenna, set up was easy and we don't have issues due to weather, etc. However, our slightly older, 2013 smart TV located in a smaller room, didn't work as well. We had issues with set up, not as many channels were found and it will have issues during bad weather. It was disappointing to have such different experiences with the same item. I would recommend trying it, especially if it will be used with a new TV in a larger room like your living room/family room, not in a bedroom.

Should have went Mohu 60 Pro Install

Not the Mohu's fault. It's the provider's faults. First off, you'll need a longer cable or an adapter to make it longer. Where you need to place it may be too short. In Woodbridge VA to Washington DC area, all my channels are facing Northeast from my house and my TV is on the Southwest side. So I need to place the antenna to the back of the room to get the majority of the channels. Second, the antenna isn't strong enough to receive most of those channels apparently unless you place it as high as the ceiling in your bedroom with so much foliage in the area. It would be best to get the Mohu 60 Pro Install instead or an Omnidirectional Antenna if you're in a foliage neighborhood. Lots and lots of trees.
