Customers are saying

Customers regard the Leaf 50 Amplified Indoor HDTV Antenna with 60-Mile Range highly for its overall performance, providing clear and crisp channels, and its ability to receive a plethora of channels. The antenna's slim design and small size are also appreciated for seamlessly blending into any decor. However, some customers have noted that the actual range may be less than what is advertised.

I purchased this and tried on 4 different tv's in my home. My basement TV received no channels (didn't expect it to). My 3 upstairs TVs all varied in what channels it did or did not tune in (older ones tuned less than newer TV's). Had many times where signal would give out on about half of the channels (mostly rerun channels) ABC and NBC were crystal clear but did occasionally drop (my signal strength showing 75-85%). Fox however did not tune in at all on any TV. just black signal or snow depending on the TV. My friend who works there confirmed there signal was up and running fine. I returned this and now seeking to buy a roof antenna.

We've been using a fancy set of rabbit ears with an old analog TV and set-top converter box. They pretty much worked, but needed to be adjusted when we switched channels and some days the picture would just keep breaking up. I tried a couple of different antennas - some went back to the store, one wound up with the digital TV upstairs. After much research and deliberation, I brought the Leaf home. Pinned it to the wall and voila - all our channels came in with no need to touch it. Plus the converter box found something like 17 additional channels. The picture quality is much better, the interference is gone. With 16 feet of cable we can still roll the TV around to watch from the kitchen or the living room. It's nice to be able to sit back and watch the TV instead of fiddling and fighting with it!

This antenna works well on an interior wall which is my only option as I live in a townhome. I previously purchased the Leaf 30 because I am in range of the towers. However, due to the setting of my home and obstructive structures, I had to go with the amplified Leaf 50.

Christmas present for my son - gomohu website said he should get 33 channels and he gets 35 . He says that the reception is good - channels are crystal clear . He mounted in window near tv with the amp hooked up via usb . So far , he is satisfied with the Mohu 50 . Most of the towers are within 15 miles of his location - probably did not need this amped version but it's performing well for him .

I love next to the border..so while i have the antenna placed next to a window.. It only picked up like 19 channel, 5 out of those channels are literally the same in spanish. It doesnt pick up advertised other american channels like ABC, NBC, FOX, etc..just Univision.. So i know it has work pretty good for others, but it didin't what i wanted in terms of cutting the cord. And i'm unable to get a outdoor antenna cause i live on the first fllor of an apartment complex and it would be a hassle and possible get stolen.. In conclusion, depending on your location, this antenna does its job.

I bought a Leaf Ultimate last year and bought another recently (after the name change to Leaf 50) but it looks to be the same thing aside from amplifier color. The old leaf ultimate had a black amplifier and it was more like a box than a plug. They perform the same which is good. I use one for the man cave another for our loft. No change upon elevating the antenna but I still receive 32 channels.

Love this antenna - yes folks we are back to rabbit ears - sort of.....I picked up 36 channels with this beauty - more than I was paying for with cable....Time Warner can stick it.....although not all channels had full strength, we got plenty to choose from with better programming than cable was giving us anyway - besides, how many chanels can you watch at once - combine this beauty with a firestick or a roku and no more need for cable and their ever increasing fees.......

We purchased the Leaf 50 yesterday. It took a little messing around to find the best spot for it but it's awesome. We live a rural area about 50 miles from a major city and it picks up NBC, CBS, The CW, Fox, Cozi Tv. It also grabs a bunch of garbage channels, all clear as a bell but things I have zero desire to watch. It actually works better on the wall not the window. Higher is better. I will be buying another for the bedroom. Best indoor antenna I have ever had.

I was very unsure so I read through all the reviews for this product before deciding to purchase. I hooked it up and with any antenna have to do a channel search and position it in different locations to get the best signal. To my amazement I was able to receive 40 channels and they come in clear and in HD. Now I had Rabbit ears before I purchased this antenna and the rabbit ears wore out and failed to deliver a good signal. I very impressed will never go back to cable bills again. If in the future I purchase another TV will get this antenna. All in all very good purchase for price. And the best part of purchase (MADE IN AMERICA.) That is something you don't see very much these days.

Antenna was easy to install and setup. Found plenty of stations. I moved it around several locations just to test the reception (even with a heavy wooded area it worked beautifully).

Basically, I don't need cable but wanted to have basic channels for the news and Spanish channels for when my mom visits. I don't have anything to compare it to and I don't know how many channels I should be getting but I checked disablemycable.com before making my purchase to see if it would even be worth it. IT WAS! Most importanly, I get the main new/TV show channels (cbs, nbc, my9), fox5 etc). The first time I didnt get many channels but I scanned again and got more the 2nd time. Also, I didnt hang it anywhere, it's on top of the TV stand LOL I saw try it out and if anything just return it.

Sent my summer baby sitter to best buy today to pick up this antenna. it took a while to figure out how to set my samsung to "antenna" after that it was awesome. I live 15 miles outside NYC in NJ on a fairly high ridge. The antenna located 41 stations !. To be fair some are spanish, some are asian? some I did not get with cablevision and I love them. I have Apple tv I bought yesterday for $70 bucks and this antenna and am going to bring my cable boxes back to cablevision. I get all the regular channels for the news with the antenna 2-4-5-7-9-11. plus lots more...all free... and all the net flix and hulu. all set here. love it.

    109 channels!!

This antenna is great! Of the 109 channels I will watch about half cause I only speak English. But the number of channels was a great surprise. I hung it in my window with an extra long coax cable left over from the cable company I booted out of my house, thanks guys, and the only issue is hiding it. Just wished it was a bit cheaper due to the very low cost of goods. IT WORKS GREAT!! Got what I was looking for!!

    Best tv antenna

I just moved to the dc area and thought I would try an antenna for tv reception instead of paying for cable. I picked up a cheap $12 antenna from a local discount store and was surprised that it picked up 50 channels, so I went to best buy and picked up the Leaf because of the recommendations of the salesman and the fact that it had a amplifier to boost the reception. I used my $10 rewards and took it to the 11th floor apartment, plugged it and was excited to see a channel scan of 66 channels. There are about 5 channels that are not perfect, but most are great. Beats cable prices.

In my first step to cutting cable, I bought the Leaf 50, based on it's specs and customer reviews. I am well pleased! Installation and set up only took a few minutes, then a few minutes finding the right position for the antenna. The results are amazing....picture quality at least equal to digital cable; perhaps better than cable in some cases. Given the results, no complaint about the price either.

    Hit or Miss

I live within 43 miles of all towers but can not get every channel I would like, ie: Fox, ABC, CBS. The only decent channel that shows up is NBC and religious channels. I was looking for something that i could get all 4 big network stations for watching sports but this did not work. Granted if I moved the antenna itself to the East side of my room i was getting FOX and CBS but moving the antenna was not going to be an option. I can't have my TV on south wall and the antenna strung across the room to the east. Will be returning to Bestbuy tomorrow. This product is hit or miss probably and it's worth trying just to see what channels you can pick up. If you can't get what you want then take it back. Guess i will continue to pay for cable. Had high hopes and Mohu fell short.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this Mohu Leaf including the review from Digital Trends (http://bit.ly/1hW255h). I like the antenna for its ease of use and the stability and variety of channels received at home (New Jersey). I would recommend this product over the other brands in the market. Definitely worth the dollars!
