    I've been using a $10 antenna I got from radio shack years ago and i got all the local broadcast channels. This powered antenna didn't get better reception. It pulled in less channels then my cheap non powered antenna. I'm not sure of how it will work in the suburbs but, its not worth the extra $ for NYC.

    Works perfectly and picks up alot of free HD channels. Extra long cable too whereas some of the antennae I have previously purchased had cable connections that were too short. I definitely would recommend this product.
