Unfortunately all the 50+ broadcast antennas in the metro area are north of my building and I was not able pick more than three broadcast signals.

In most cases an amplifier isn’t necessary unless TV signals in your area are low power, or you have longer cable runs to multiple TVs. Also, try installing the antenna as high up as possible on a wall or in the window. Any antenna has a hard time reaching its full potential if it is located lower to the ground. I am still not getting all the local channels. Everyday different channels work, like one day Channel 4 works but Channel 5 doesn't.

It only received 2 additional channels. I am sure this is a great product if you live in an area where the reception is not so bad as the beach area.

I understand the quality of the reception is related to many factors. Due to the location of my TV, I was unable to move the antenna and try different spots to get better reception; you may have better results in your situation.

However anywhere I move it, I only pick up at best 4 channels, 2 of which are in a foreign language. None of them local. I at least need one station for news, guess that's not gonna happen. Very pooor product. I'd keep looking.....elsewhere.

But this is very expensive for what is it...there are many cheaper options

Remember to run a channel scan again when you move the antenna. Placed this in our home and it picked up two channels, but one not very well. It did not even pick up the channel in which the tower is just miles from our house. Took the unit back to the store.
