Customers regard the Leaf 50 Amplified Indoor HDTV Antenna with 60-Mile Range highly for its overall performance, providing clear and crisp channels, and its ability to receive a plethora of channels. The antenna's slim design and small size are also appreciated for seamlessly blending into any decor. However, some customers have noted that the actual range may be less than what is advertised.

This is the second HD antenna that I purchased. This was simple and easy to install resulting in receiving crisp channels. For some reason I don't get CBS but other than that. Great purchase!

not suitable for house with aluminum siding

But probably no antenna will work well in a house with metal siding. The only way I could pick up any channels at all was by placing the antenna in the window. With the amp plugged in, it picked up 3 channels. Unplugging the amp got me 12 or 13. Taking the amp out entirely got me over 30 channels. It just isn't suitable for my situation, so I returned it. There's no sense paying for an amp antenna if the amp is less than useless. This is probably a fine antenna for other people, though. It worked great with no amp involved, but I can get a much cheaper antenna if I don't need an amp.

In an effort to "cut the cord" I tried this antenna. It was easy to set up, but the stations I got were pretty limited, which is probably a function of which way I can face the scanner. It seems like a great product, depending on where you live.

Works great for guest room tv. It doesn’t get used often and doesn’t need a lot of stations though it gets many more than I expected. Very good reception. Saves a lot not having to get cable.

Antenna does a good job of pulling in the local channels. Can be a bit finicky to find the right spot in the room to get them all without having to move it around, but hey, its free TV. The alternative is an outdoor antenna or a monthly bill.

Very easy hookup and now I receive over the air tv stations that were supposedly marginal strength in the area. Pick up boston stations without any problems and in very high clarity (HD)

Bought to use in camper when no cable is available. Have used it several times in state parks in multiple counties in Florida. Works great have had at least 20 and as many as 65 channels to watch.

This is my second Mohu Leaf antenna so either it's good or I'm a fool. Luckily the antenna is that good. Great reception, low profile so it almost disappears, ample length cable, worth the money.

I bought this model because it was to have a range of 50 miles. I am less than 10 miles from the broadcast tower. Works well for all channels except 12 (NBC). I've moved/re-scanned for channels numerous time and 12 just doesn't come in well.

This antenna has been in my home for over a year. It's worked well. In fact, I have two of these. The only reason for 4 stars is signal strength. It gets a little choppy on rough weather days. The model with the amplifier would probably take care of this.

LOVED the reverseable design and included colored pins for mounting. No ampliflier required for me, got 30+ channels hanging inside on our wall. Better than more expensive options I've tried.

Easy to install and very effective for drawing local, over the air, digital signals. Small, thin, and light, it is easy to mount discretely. Everything works as advertised and at a reasonable price point.

When I first installed this I received wonderful signal across all chambers but ABC. Now I get spotty reception on other channels as well, but it works better than what I had before so I am happy.

Okay, not getting anywhere close to the number of channels it claims I should be getting. Could be the placement behind the TV, but according to the package it should work. CS says I should try moving it to a window, but who wants this rectangle obstructing the view outside. The picture quality is good for the channels I do actually get.

    • Brand response from Mohu Customer Service
      Posted .

Hi there, Doc! Thank you for your honest review of our Mohu Leaf 50 Amplified HDTV Antenna. In order for your antenna to achieve the best possible signal reception, we highly recommend you placing your antenna in front of your TV, instead of behind it. High up or closest to a window is always best. You may also want to run a channel scan without the included amplifier to see if you may receive more channels. In most cases an amplifier isn’t necessary unless TV signals in your area are low power, or you have longer cable runs to multiple TV. If these tips do not help, please contact our Customer Care Team again at 877-825-5572. We will troubleshoot for you to pinpoint what the problem could be. We will also have tips on how to improve your reception in general while facing certain obstacles. We are available 7 days a week to help! Thank you. Mohu

The Mohu Leaf needs to be affixed to a wall. In my apartment in Manhattan, the set-top Mohu Arc worked better. All the key channels that I watch (and many more.) And, the ability to move it/turn it a bit to clear up interference.

Far better type of antenna than the traditional dog ears type. Picks up around 30 channels which is accurate for its range. I get a clear and crisp signal in a semi wooded area wether it's an HD channel or not. Great alternative to cable for local channels.

This antenna is pretty small yet it brings in the stations with no problem. I hung it on the wall next to the TV which made it point to the station antennas in Phoenix. Highly recommend this product.
