Customers are saying

Customers regard the Leaf 50 Amplified Indoor HDTV Antenna with 60-Mile Range highly for its overall performance, providing clear and crisp channels, and its ability to receive a plethora of channels. The antenna's slim design and small size are also appreciated for seamlessly blending into any decor. However, some customers have noted that the actual range may be less than what is advertised.

We watch so little TV that we wanted to get rid of our second cable box and its monthly rental. I was amazed at the HD quality of reception from this antenna on the local stations (which were all we were interested in). Our location is notoriously bad for FM radio reception, and I had assumed that TV would be even worse. I was wrong. There are big evergreens in our back yard, and when there is a lot of wind, the reception has frequent glitches although still watchable. On calm days the reception is almost perfect. Over-the-air reception can be a dicy affair, but we lucked out.

Thanks to previous reviews, the Mohu Leaf 50 so far is a great antenna. It does take a try or two to find the best spot in the room for your Mohu Leaf to pull in the best signal. Instructions are very clear with suggestions for optimal reception. We found we didn't need the amplifier because we're very close to our local towers. The Leaf attached to the wall isn't unattractive at all although I'm going to paint the black coax cable to match the wall.

It works pretty good. Not perfect. Probably need to figure out the best position for reception but it pulls in about 22 channels. Great for getting local tv

Bought this antenna for my mother who was cutting the cord on cable and upgrading her living room to the HD era. The design is nice and out of the way. The reception is great and picture quality is superb. The Leaf gives you some options on hanging via tacks or Velcro stickers. Additionally, given this is the amplified version, there are options there too. Specifically the addition of USB allows you to connect the antenna to the tv's USB port to power the antenna.

Amazed at how many channels this paper-sized sheet of plastic pulls in! Easy to install, works quite well.

My wife & I decided to cut out the cable bill, but wanted to try the indoor antenna first. It works just like it is supposed to & receives all the channels we expected.

This antenna works pretty good. I think overall it got us 40 channels (mostly in between channels like 3.2, 3.3, 5.2 etc) with it hanging on the wall behind the tv (exterior wall) it however didn't get us fox 8 in our region which was a disappointment considering we're only 30 miles or so away from the broadcast center and this antenna is supposed to have a 50 mile range. It's also supposed to support both broadcast types so I don't know what the reason behind the missing channel is. Other than that it seems to work pretty well. Is get pretty choppy during rain or snow which is to be expected.

So I was needing an antenna for my Airtv box. I was skeptical that a thin sheet of an antenna was going to work. Well, I was so pleased that it pulled in over 50 channels - I would have been thrilled with 5 locals. Every channel is clear and it might be my imagination but they seem to be much more vibrant than my previous cable reception.

My old metal antenna fell apart so bought this one in store after asking which was their best seller for our local area for indoors. Easy to use and right away, it picked up all the channels that were already scanned in. And got channels even further than the 60-mile range. Happy with purchase!

I purchased this item to replace an RCA rabbit ears type antenna in order to receive more channels in our master bedroom. Whereas, we were only getting about 17 channels with the RCA antenna; with this new Mohu Leaf antenna, we are receiving 42 channels from around Atlanta market and the picture is clear and HD quality on 38 of the 42 channels. I would recommend this product if you are looking for a good indoor flat antenna.

Simple to install, position and height in the room play an important role in good reception. Free tv. Got 35 channels. 11 more than the unpowered version

I love this antenna. Simple to install, picks up great and I have close to 30 channels. Multidirectional so there is no turning and you can put it in the house and still be inconspicuous.

I have two of these. One for each of my TV's. I am about 6-7 miles from the local TV towers. In good weather I can get all the local channels. When it is rainy , even a little bit, some of the stations get digital breakup in the picture. Sometime often enough that it is not watchable. I think this is more a limitation of indoor antenna's in general than of this particular model. I have them pinned to the wall behind the TV's using thumb tacks. They can't be easily seen unless you look behind the TV.

It meet my needs and picks up local channels within 15 miles. I have to have it near the window to pick up all the channels but they are clear and strong.

Best reception is when located near window, but still works well if not. I doubted the HD reception and the local station to me seemed clearer than my Comcast. Go figure (no compressed signal I was told). The amplifier portion really helps provide clear picture. And this thing is flexible like a mud flap! Use this website to see which direction your TV stations are to your home so you can best place the antenna (like west, northeast, etc) -- enter zip code and then click on the station call letters to see location http://transition.fcc.gov/mb/engineering/dtvmaps/

I have 3 of these in my home and the signal strength is good, but remember to put on an exterior wall. You will need to experiment with different spots to find the best reception. Higher up on the wall works best for my needs. Bought additional units for my mom, sister and nephew.

I bought this to try at a cabin in the mountains, but I couldn't get it to work. Must be high up to receive a signal. Said it had a 60 mile range so I guess the mountains blocked any chance of picking up the air waves. Nice compact antenna, and easy to hook up. Tried it on another TV at home near town and it worked just fine. I guess placement is everything with this model.

Antenna is working fine and is not an ugly one with antennas. But because of the location of my window, I do not pick up ABC and CH 11. Otherwise a stable HD picture

There's not much to say about this product. Just plug it in put it in your window and go you get all the local channels in HD for the most part without pain. The only problem is which is basically me and where I live in lower Manhattan on the second floor every time a truck goes by or Parks right in front of my window cuz I'm right close to the street I get a distorted or pixelated picture. Other than that this is a great item to have. I imagine what it would look like if I lived on the 10th or higher floor.

This antenna does exactly what it says it will do. I purchased it for my mother-in-law whose TV would not get reception with her old "rabbit-ears" antenna. After purchasing two newer "rabbit-ears" antennas and having some of her channels still missing, I coughed up the money and bought this one for her. She went from only having 20 channels to having 48 channels come clear as cable. The only drawback was hanging it up as the double-sided tape they provided fell after a day.
