I had to return it and get a much cheaper antenna, and surprisingly had almost the same results. Therefore, I would not totally blame the leaf antenna. I believe I may just have bad reception at my house.

Does better than the $10 antenna without a booster

You can't plan on just plugging it in and putting it on the counter and all will be well. You will need 2 people. One looking at signal strength and another to walk around with the antenna to find the best place. It is also not the most attractive thing to have hanging in your house. Put it behind a picture or something.
