Tried on my upstairs TV and could not get all the channels at the same time - got some channels in one location and others in another location. The amplifier made no difference. Used it in downstairs TV and could get 90% of all the channels at once but really took some looking to find the location that worked. Again, I did this without the amplifier - the amplification did not make it any better. So Mohu makes a much cheaper (1/2 the price) non-amplified version of this and I would consider saving money and not getting Amplification.

Having trouble with picking up local NBC and sometimes CBS local but after taking to several folks seems like a common issue in my area.

Please try running a channel scan without the included amplifier to see if that helps you pick up the channels you are not currently receiving. Over-amplification can occur if you are trying to amplify signals too close to the broadcast towers. We also highly recommend placing the antenna as high as you possibly can on a wall or in a window.
