||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I Bought this Antenna in hopes that it would do a better job in getting Over-the-air HDTV Signals in deep SE Portland, OR. I still have a Competitors Antenna which did a good job. I Hooked Mohu Leaf Antenna to my HDTV and re-scan Channels; I got 44. My current Antenna received 51 Channels. Because a local Station was changing frequencies, I needed to re-scan Channels; I received 41. Also, this antenna- at least in present location , is NOT very directional- that is needed to be tweaked to get clear picture. I was quite disappointed, and removed Mohu Antenna and re-attached the other HDTV Antenna. After Scanning, I received 55 Channels. I might use Mohu Antenna on my smaller Bedroom HDTV, and put it on Window facing Broadcast Antennas.

Posted .Greetings! We apologize you have not had a great experience with our Mohu Leaf 50 Amplified HDTV Antenna. All locations and terrains are different. If you are in a more urban area, or at a closer distance to the broadcast towers, there is a good chance you do not need an amplifier. Over-amplification can occur within a shorter distance to the towers and could very well make your reception worse. Please try removing the amplifier from your antenna and re-scanning for channels to see if this helps. It needs to have a power source to power the amplifier, but a light bulb adapter with an electrical outlet in it will do the trip if your attic doesn't have an outlet. I'm getting about 40 channels in the attic compared to 18 or so in the living room.

However, for the price we only got a free local channels there wasn't even a 20 mile radius. I kept it because it worked well enough for what I wanted, but I definitely expected more for the price.
