This antenna didn't work nearly as good as the same antenna that was not amplified. The plain one had channels galore, this one - a channel here or there if it felt like it.

I live between two metro areas with broadcast TV … about 30-35 miles in either directon. My house has a metal shingle roof, so an antenna in the attic is not an option, nor is roof mounting. I’ve tried indoor antennas before without luck, but the Mohu Leaf Supreme actually did what was promised. I can only receive the stations from one city since there are some serious hills between me and the other, but no antenna can solve that. There’s not a lot in the box. The antenna, a length of coax cable, the inline amp, and some Velcro dots and push pins to secure the plastic antenna. The amplifier has a 3-foot power cable attached which has a standard USB Type A connection, but there was no power cube included … nor any instructions. Not that it’s complicated, but a call to support did explain that the amp connects at the TV, not at the antenna. I have plenty of USB power units around, but it seems like one should have been included. A lot of new sets have powered USB ports built in, and I assume they would be adequate. Once hooked up and powered, the flexible flat antenna has some green LEDs that indicate signal strength. Run your OTA channel search on your TV, and voila, you have TV. When the trees all leaf out, we’ll get to see how this Leaf performs then. For now, it’s working like a charm.

You are charging me for the antenna that the geek guy took with him back to the store. I am very unhappy about that. I will never do business with y'all again this is terrible. The geek guy said the antenna was not going to work. Please take the charge off of my credit card. Y'all have the antenna back at the store or ask the geek guy what he did with it. I don't have it. The geek guy brought it with him and he left my house with it in the box.

I returned the product because unless it is placed in JUST the right position against a wall it will NOT acquire the most basic TV signals.

I live in a challenging area for OTA TV reception. I cannot erect an outdoor antenna nor do I currently have any way to setup an antenna in the attic. That leaves me with trying various indoor OTA TV antennas. I have used plain old unamplified rabbit ear antennas and other similar products. This is the first amplified indoor antenna that I have tried. I compared it to those rabbit ear antennas in three different rooms of the house using three different hd tvs. In each room, I moved the antennas around to find the best reception, scanning for all available channels from each new location. I first tried using this Mohu without the power amplifier connected, but only found a handful of channels out of the available 35 or so. With the amp, the Mohu found a max of 28 channels - slightly better than rabbit ears but much easier to position and much more attractive, too. Given that it is much more expensive than rabbit ear antennas but not awesomely more effective, it is difficult for me to strongly recommend this product. It might work much better in a different environment.
