I was given this product in exchange for my fair and unbiased review. TL;DR - The Moho Sail is the antenna that guarantees you get every OTA channel in your metropolitan area, and a few that should be considered out of range. I was able to receive signals transmitted about 60 miles away from my home when using the amplifier, which also didn't cause signals being transmitted within 10 miles from home to be overpowered while in use. Thunderstorms didn't cause too much signal loss compared to non-amplified antennas or small amplified antennas. All in all, an easy to assemble, high-quality product. Assembly - This couldn't have been any easier to put together. A couple of brackets, some screws, wing nuts - the only tools you'll want for assembly are a phillips screwdriver and maybe a pair of pliers. Installation - This can be as simple (single TV) or as complicated (multiple TVs and fancy wiring) as you'd like it to be. I went for simple and non-permanent for now, and the only thing that made it more difficult than installing an indoor antenna was getting into my attic (I already had a cutout and cable passthrough for the TV I tested with). If you can cut rectangular holes, screw things into walls or ceilings (depending on where you want wires running from and how comfortable you are with wire fishing , and screw cables into your TV set (or a tuner box), this won't be a problem to install for you. The worst part is getting into your attic or on your roof. Usage - screw in the F connectors to the antenna, power injector, and your TV, connect USB power (either from your TV, a STB or network tuner if the device can provide 5 watts/1 amp over USB, or the included power adapter), and program your TV or tuner to receive OTA channels. That's it. You'll find that you're able to receive all your local channels clearly (any transmitter within 25 miles), and even some distant stations should work (I was able to receive a signal with very little breakup from a TV transmitter approximately 60 miles from my home). One thing I noticed with severe weather in my area is lightning did very little to interrupt the signal. Drawbacks - the power injector has to be placed between the antenna and TV or splitter (determined by how you do your installation) and both the signal output lead and USB lead from the power injector are permanently connected. A nice option would be a power injector with F connectors on either side (so the end user isn't stuck with a short lead) and the option for a longer power lead (which would be useful with more advanced installations that lack nearby power connections). Also, keep in mind that if you do decide to install this antenna on the exterior of your home, you'll need a grounding block and solid copper grounding wire to ground both the mounting arm and the coax (I believe 8 gauge is the bare minimum) and meet the NEC requirements. Because of this, I'd recommend an attic installation. All in all, this is a terrific antenna. The power injector problems can be fixed later (and I'd even pay $10 for a power injector of that style should one become available. This is also perfect for households that are "cutting the cord" and use network TV tuner boxes, network DVR systems, or computer and STB-based solutions for viewing live TV.

Great Antenna for HD Local channels

MOHU Sail 75 setup is quick and easy. I was able to assemble and installed within 30 mins. I have used few antennas in the past to cut the cord and none of them really worked. The quality is outstanding compare to previous ones. I was able to get more than 30 HD changes and many SD channels. The reception is great after installing into my attic. MOHU Sail delivers excellent 1080 HD channels. The antenna is slightly larger but it is very lightweight and i don't have any issues installing in attic as i had lot of space in attic. It is good to see an amplified antenna powered by USB. It comes with 30 feet cable and powered amplifier. It is very powerful antenna and reception is great to provide crystal clear picture. I would recommend to anyone who are looking to get local HD channels without going through cable companies. It is definitively a good start for cutting cable cost.

We do not have cable. We have an indoor antenna we bought several years ago but figured newer tech would give us more channels. This got less channels than the small one we had, & it had to keep being moved. Finally gave up on it.

I didn’t find this as good as the smaller rabbit ear type antenna. The Best Buy antenna with 2 circles were far superior to either. The extra cost is worth it.

Don't buy this, it is not worth the money. I purchased this because it looked more attractive on the side of the house versus another antenna that cost me about $40. The $40 antenna works better than this one. I live about 40 miles outside of Phoenix and the signal that this antenna picks up is intermittent. The channels are crystal clear one minute and pixelated the next. I switched back to my old cheaper antenna and it works perfectly. Unfortunately I can't take it back for a refund because I did not install it right away.

    Works Great from the Fringe!

I'm in a very fringe area between Philadelphia and Lancaster Pennsylvania and was interested in trying this out for its promised 75 mile range. I am extremely impressed with the results! First off, I just ran the cable from the TV to outside through a window (from my basement)using a flat pass-through cable and set the antenna on the ground leaning against the house. I figure why deal with mounting it if the results are disappointing, right? Just sitting on the ground I have 11 channels. It's not aimed, it's not set up in an optimal way and I'm in a valley. I have network channels and strong signals! The mounting hardware that is included is great and is suitable for any situation; mounting on a mast, on siding, inside an attic or outside. It also comes with 30 feet of coax cable and an inline amplifier. The amplifier itself is small and discreet, and is powered through USB. You can use the included adapter or plug it directly into a USB port on your TV for power, which I did. Works perfectly! I was so impressed I decided to type out the review while I watched some over the air TV. In the morning I'll head out and mount it up higher on my siding, which will only take a few minutes thanks to the easy mounting system!

    Brilliant Hi-Def Antenna!

MOHU Sail arrived today, had the Kid bring it in the house and asked him to unbox the antenna. About fifteen minutes later when I went to look at the Sail found the Kid over halve way finished with installing the hardware. Moral, could not be simpler to hookup the gear. Took the Sail into my office to hook up, simply plugged the supplied adaptor into the TV USB (power) and the coax to the antenna connection on the TV. Scanned for TV/antenna channels on the TV and started watching Hi-Def TV over the air. Tried an over the air Digital HD antenna years ago indoors and was far from impressed – That Changed Today. The Sail delivers excellent 1080 HD over the air broadcasts inside my home office from the station that is 60 miles away with many hills and trees in between. Can’t wait to get the Sail mounted outside, expecting higher performance and more than the six channels I am picking up from inside the house. One of the reasons I am pumped about this antenna is that I have satellite TV service which during storms goes on the blink. During strong storms that is not a warm and fuzzy feeling. Now we will continue to be online with Storm News Broadcasting, that is a Warm and Fuzzy Feeling. Brilliant TV picture from a solidly engineered product. Love it.

I put it on my roof but got less channels than my "old" antenna. I had an antenna on my roof that is about 45 years old, damaged from wind storms. The last windstorm blew it over and damaged the tripod mount. So I decided to buy the HD antenna. I was getting more channels with the old antenna. Going to mount it higher on the roof to see if it's any better. Hope so; otherwise it was a waste of money. I could have bought a new tripod for half the money!

This TV antenna just didn’t work for me — you would need to be in an area with clear line of site reception. I ended up ordering an indoor antenna that pulled in a lot more channels.
