Customers are saying
Customers enjoy the addictive gameplay, impressive graphics, and the large variety of weapons and monsters in Monster Hunter: World. Many appreciate the consistently added free content and the improved ease of use for new players, although some find the difficulty challenging and the story lacking. The open world is praised for its expansive feel, but a steep learning curve and the need for significant playtime are also noted. While some players find the controls require time to master, the overall experience is considered highly engaging.

Finally, a current console MH game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For years I've dabbled in Monster Hunter games, playing it on the portable playstation devices as well as older ports for the Wii and such. It's always felt clunky, dated, and really obtuse. I wanted to like the series but couldn't dig my teeth in. Then this game came out. And it's been a big treat. Lots of quality-of-life improvements, awesome graphics, big monsters, etc. If you like this style of game then you're in for a treat. Watch some videos, read some professional reviews, and maybe give it a rent to see if you dig it. It's a lot of fun

Beautiful, fun game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is really fun. The graphics is gorgeous. The faces on the characters look realistic. Although the expressions look cartoony. The gameplay mechanics are great. The reason I gave 4 stars is the online part of the game that bothers me. They made the game where you can join online games with friends through your own hub. This means that the actual online hub isn’t really used by online players. So if you wanted to chill out in an online hub and see other players characters you can’t. Nobody is there, because nobody uses it. This kinda ruins the immersion of being with other real players and not just NPCs walking around. Other than that. This game is well worth the money.

Really enjoyable way to lose a few hours
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Monster Hunter World for PS4 is a great way to lose a few hours. Quests have a max time cap of 50 minutes, though some are shorter, and with enough people many can be completed much, much faster. I've never played a Monster Hunter game before, but it was pretty easy to pick up on what to do. I'm still figuring the game out, and it's sometimes frustrating how underpowered I think I am for my Hunter Rank, but it's a sign of a good game that I want to keep playing both in spite of and because of that. Rather than toss my controller aside in frustration, I want to go out and collect materials for better armour and figure out the tricks to make me a better hunter.

Makes time fly!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently bought this game after my friends could not stop raving and talking such positive things about this game. After logging in about 60 hours play time (I know, not a lot compared to other players), but I am most definitely hooked. Each “quest” goes by so quickly and after completing a few of them you realize that you’ve been playing for about 3 hours. Not to mention the amazingly intricate graphics and unfathamable weapon mechanics such as the Insect Glaive and mantles, the game is tons of fun for young and old fans of games.

Great Intro to MH Universe
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having tried numerous of the previous monster hunter games, I never fully became engrossed in the gameplay or world of monster hunter. After trying out this game, I fully understand why this series is so popular. Numerous quality of life improvements help to make the game more friendly to newcomers, offering many in depth tutorials for the numerous systems that the game has to offer.

A very good game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Some things you're going to read over and over for MHW: "Steep learning curve", "amazing graphics", "epic game". It's all those things. I received the game yesterday and have not been able to put it down, although admittedly being my first time jumping in this franchise, I've spent an inordinate amount of the time learning the hub, currencies, button/attack combos, and how to use and get around Astera (your character's main city and resource area for quests, crafting and merchants). Capcom put a lot of time and money developing this game and it shows. Seems to runs seamlessly on PS4 Pro with very little discernible lag or fps drop. Highly recommended.

I didn't like it at first, now I can't put it down
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first I didn't like it, the combat seemed clunky and slow, I still feel that way but I've learned to adapt to it for the most part, it's not so bad once you find a weapon you like. With that said, this game is pretty amazing. Something about going out to slay a Monster, the challenge of it I guess, has kept me entertained for about 20 hours so far. The environments are well done, as well as the monsters. If you do end up trying this and not liking it at first, just keep playing, it gets much better, at least it did for me.

Fun Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the most audacious Monster Hunter game yet. Monster Hunter: World manages the balance between staying true to the series’ ideals and the addictive loop of combat with intimidating monsters and meaningful upgrades that fans love, while also taking a dramatic leap into a look, feel, and size that feels truly new. Its sheer depth and the commitment required is still intense, but it clearly isn’t Capcom's aim to court a casual crowd. It’s as all-consuming and incredible a ride as ever.

The best in the series
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having played all of the MH games since Tri, I can honestly say this one is the best of the bunch. This game has been streamlined to get rid of every tedious moment the prior titles had. Now you focus mainly on the hunt and crafting your gear! Amazing graphics! Amazing experience! Amazing game!

Smaller budget doesn't mean less of a game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's been tough recently with ps4 games most of the big titles have been filled with bugs or basic pay to play games. Examples being NBA 2k18 or even Fifa the games are catered to gamers who want to buy their way. I can't blame companies for trying to go this route but for me it has caused me to never pre-order games anymore. This game I got slightly after it came out and it is amazingly fun to play with a group of friends. It is also worthy of solo playing to pick up different tricks to the game.

Another fantastic entry in Monster Hunter
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simply put, this game is amazing. The graphics and sound design really immerse you into the world of Monster Hunter. It is the best in the series and the quality of life changes are greatly welcomed in my opinion. If you're a series veteran, you'll love it. However, if you're a newcomer, be prepared to be dedicated, there's a lot to learn. The community is always more than welcome to help new hunters.

Very Good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've only played the original title for the PS2 and I loved that game. This feels the same. As someone getting back into the game it wasn't too hard to get used to the gameplay. It does feel a little easier to progress. The online play has been great and being able to join quest already in progress is awesome. I didn't like the fact that you could run it players in the main area. And it's been difficult to find plays to play repeatedly with. The gathering hub is normally empty. Regardless I alway have some help, when I ask for it. I don't know what else to say without making this way longer. Also I'm in the middle playing

Awesome Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a little rough to newcomers but if you have some friends to play with, its a blast. Hunt monsters and harvest materials to create better gear. This game doesn't hold your hand when doing quests, instead you rely on your tools and the environment to track down monsters. For anyone who has never played the Monster Hunter series and is interested my advice is, collect all the plants you come across and learn with the game. Its kind of like Dark Souls in terms of gameplay but it is more forgiving!
