Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the addictive gameplay, impressive graphics, and the large variety of weapons and monsters in Monster Hunter: World. Many appreciate the consistently added free content and the improved ease of use for new players, although some find the difficulty challenging and the story lacking. The open world is praised for its expansive feel, but a steep learning curve and the need for significant playtime are also noted. While some players find the controls require time to master, the overall experience is considered highly engaging.

I’m huge on co-op games, especially those that will challenge you along with your squad (4 players). There’s a lot to take in when you start at first (unless you’re a monster veteran) but once you get the flow, it becomes fun trying new weapon styles with different elemental damages for higher DPS (damage per second) & criticals. Campaign is quite short, but there’s a lot to do to rank up & unlock better armor/ weapon gear along with seasonal events that give you access to bonus content.

Monster hunter is a great game visually. It has a high learning curve but almost all of it can come back to your personal skill. Most of the game is based around crafting new gear to hunt bigger monsters. The better the gear the stronger the monsters you can hunt. You get new gear by hunting monsters to get components to make the gear and money. It has a very satisfying combat loop and simple premise. You can just drop in and enjoy it. And its a fantastic looking game.

This is a good game. It's got great graphics, sound, and environments. I feel a great immersion when I'm on a mission. For some reason though, I just can't stick with it. Maybe I'm a sucker for stronger storylines. Also, I'm sure it's easy more fun if you can get your buddies to join. I haven't played it too it's full potential. The combat takes some getting used to but once you master the different weapons, the depth adds to that immersion factor. If your into this series or co-op RPGs, check it out.

Monster Hunter World is a fun game. It can be difficult, complicated and grindy but if you have friends and the time to play it, it's great.

This game is amazing. It takes a bit of time to get into but once you get some time in it really gets good. Very deep game...lots of things to collect and do. The monsters are amazing!! Each monster is like a boss fight. You must learn how to defeat each monster. So much fin hunting with friends!! Capcom is always hosting seasonal events and adding content regularly. One of my favorite games on PS4. Haven't played much else since monster hunter world!!

This game looks, plays, feels amazing. I've played a few of these types of games before (mostly on PS Vita), so I knew what I was in for, and it delivered beyond expectations. My only real issue is that I could see how after the first 5 or 6 hours this was going to a MAJOR time commitment, so I put it down for now. (Don't worry--I'll return to it one day!) If you are a veteran or a newbie to Monster Hunter, you will find much to love here, if you have the time.

Easily the most welcoming and user-friendly entry into the series. Many of the systems and controls have been streamlined to welcome new players. Game looks absolutely gorgeous, the environments are thick, lush and very alive. If you're into killing big monsters, getting awesome looking weapon and armor and games that feel very satifying then don't pass this up. So fun!

This is a complex and fun game. There are many weapons and armors available to the player right away. There are many monsters to kill an capture. The materials collected help to upgrade the weapons and armors. Collecting items help to improve health and performance. To have a successful hunting quest, the player must choose the right combination of weapons, armor, and other items. It takes planning and understanding a monster to defeat it. It is a fun game.

I'll be honest, I watched gameplay of previous MH games and was immediately turned off. I decided to pick this up since it was dirt cheap and man, this game is SO GOOD. You play as a hunter, you hunt monsters in various unique habitats and make armor out of them. Playing with friends is so much fun and the difficulty of the game ramps up pretty quickly so you have to actually learn your weapon of choice. Super fun, definitely recommend.

So admittedly I have never had any interest in Monster Hunter games. I was even skeptical on this release of MH World. I pulled the trigger after many days of reading up on various websites and watching videos. I now have put more hours into that game than I care to admit. It is so fun, I bought 3 copies so my kid and my buddy can play with me. Taking down a big beast you've been struggling will never get old! Kudos Capcom and Monster Hunter World!

As much as I love the older entries on the PSP and 3DS devices, Monster Hunter World revamps the formula that has worked well in the past and gives us something we didn't know we needed. It feels like MH was always meant for consoles as it plays so much better on the bigger screen and with a full controller. This entry probably is the best for new MH players to jump into, compared to the older games that always felt geared towards hardcore MH players. Combat seems more fluid and easier, plus finding others to play with is a breeze with dedicated servers.

This game is not for the weak of heart. It's not that it's scary, but the time and effort you need to spend to progress through the story parallels Dark Souls. They've greatly improved a lot of aspects in the game from when I played it on the Wii. The only downfall is the lack of trading between players which has been a stickler for me since it's inception. If you get this game and plan on doing well, prepare to sink a lot of hours into it.
