Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the addictive gameplay, impressive graphics, and the large variety of weapons and monsters in Monster Hunter: World. Many appreciate the consistently added free content and the improved ease of use for new players, although some find the difficulty challenging and the story lacking. The open world is praised for its expansive feel, but a steep learning curve and the need for significant playtime are also noted. While some players find the controls require time to master, the overall experience is considered highly engaging.

I was very cautious about giving this game a shot as I haven't played any of the previous Monster Hunter Games, but I heard this one was a great opportunity to jump into the series and let me tell you, I was not disappointed at all. This game is my new addiction. If fighting dinosaurs and dragons with 14 different types of weapons sounds fun to you, do yourself a favor and get this game. Even better if you have a buddy or two to play with!

This game is an amazing timesink for every gamer that likes to gather loot, upgrade gear, and just have a sort of addiction to get every shiny thing. Monster Hunter as it should be, with a whole lot of Quality of Life changes that streamline the experience and make it a lot more enjoyable. Gameplay is top notch, the monsters and the world of the game are excellent. Capcom has really set the bar for themselves. Buy it.

I have never played a monster hunter game before so i went into this with no idea what it would be, and i was blown away. It is basically multiple boss fights, however every single one of them looks so cool and feels unique. Also the feeling of taking each of them down is satisfying. This game offers single player, multiplayer, a good story campaign, no paid dlc, and so much more. This is the type of game we as gamers should support

This was my first experience with the monster hunter franchise, and boy was it a great game to play. Massive enviornments to explore, with even more massive monsters to battle. Combat is diverse. Try a new weapon in game for a completely different experience. If you are on the fence, give it a try, and I’m sure you will not be disappointed. Especially if you have friends to play this game with.

This game has tons of contents. So much that I felt a bit overwhelmed when playing. It has good mechanics and character customization. The things that fell short for me was the overall clunkiness feel. I know this is a subjective matter but it was the main reason why I couldn't finish the game. The story was a bit meh also but I don't think that's ever been the main selling point for the series. I still recommend it for those who want to try it.

This is a great game series where you hunt down a variety of interesting and dynamic monsters, doing battle with each one by figuring out it's unique behaviors and patterns while crafting weapons and armor for yourself. These games are generally very deep and quite hard to get into, but MHW simplifies the formula while still keeping everything that makes the series great.

It’s amazing to finally see this series back on console after playing so many Nintendo DS iterations over the years. It looks gorgeous and plays just as you’d expect. Very tight controls and varied combat styles. Tons of armor and weapon choices. The monsters all look so great with so much detail. You can’t go wrong with this game, if you’re an MH fan you’ll love it, if you aren’t you’ll become a fan.

I have put 70 hours into Monster Hunter 4U and 3DS and unknown hours on 3U. MHW is true to form and makes the enviroment come alive way more than the 3DS possibly could. Monsters interact and fight each other. All materials are visible on the map including bugs and even dung beatles and ants to gather. Gameplay is the same great hardcore MonHun but has many tutorials which make it easier on new players.

Monster Hunter World is an incredible update on the PS4. Since the last time I played this game was on a PSP - the evolution to PS4 is nothing short of astounding - yet it still retains the aspects that made it such an addictive title on PSP and PS2. The HUNT. Beautiful visuals and strong framerate make this one a keeper.

I'll start off with saying this game looks pretty, and is entertaining. However, it's not what I expected. I didn't realize it wasn't an open world RPG or something similar, I also don't like that a friend can't join in until after cut-scenes/tutorials are done and over with, I know it may not be a problem later in the game, but I wanted to experience the story with a buddy and in the early game, it almost feels like half the mission is unjoinable because of that restriction.

I've played other monster hunter games in the past and they've been great. I always wanted friends of mine to try the game but they rejected it for being on the 3ds. As the new game is on PS4 and looks visually better my friends like lots of people have finally jumped in. The game is very grindy soon after you begin the game. It'll take you anywhere from 50-100 hours to finish but boy was it great.

Slaying monsters have never been this fun, and frustrating at times. Super awesome to play alone and even better in groups. Up to 4 people in a group to go on quests and slay monsters. Using their parts to make armor and weapons. Play in limited time quests or different events for exclusive items, parts, armor. Can be frustrating at times but stay with it and practice helps you out to get better.

As coming from someone who owns a couple Monster Hunter games on the Nintendo 3DS, yet never played the titles, I was curious to pre-order this PS4 game given the amount of work the developers put into the title. Long story short, I've played this game for a number of hours and am having a blast. I'm not a fan of MMO games, but I love loot-based experiences and this definitely has me hooked.
