Fun for a few hours but lost interest after a few hours.

It was very repetitive game and the monsters took forever to kill or capture which just got frustrating. I tried using different skills as well on my main and didn’t matter. I got so frustrated with the game I exchanged it don’t recommend.

Haven't played much of the game but heard its pretty good.

Definitely not a game for everyone. Steelbook was nice tho.

Everyone says this game is super good, but I can't get into it. Combat is too weird and the overall experience is confusing. Only rating two stars because you can have a cat and dress it up in armor which is adorable.

Ok so this game is rated up with God of War and Red Dead on some sites that’s why I bought the game and I was excited to try it....when I started I was very disappointed with this game it’s the typical capcom game with horrible and awkward acting but this I deal with because I like capcom as a developer, I only played about 2 hours into it before I couldn’t take the terrible combat and clunky menus and all the reading I had to do through the menus and scenes when your going through story mode. Some sentences are voice acted but most you have to read. Needless to say I am extremely disappointed with this title.

This series is highly overrated. The combat is bad, really bad. The only people who praise it have played for hundreds of hours and have just learned to be good with a bad combat system. You have to sharpen your weapon mid combat, seriously? Also plan on missing a lot and getting knocked backwards when you get hit. The monsters take forever to kill and you have to Chase them all over the map. Not my idea of fun, sorry. This isn't a git gud game, this is a bad game that you learn to accept. I however do not accept it and it gets one star for being the worst game I own on PS4.

This game looked great and a lot of people really like it. After my best gaming buddy talked me into it I finally decided to give it a try. I put some time into it, but just couldn't get into it.

if you are sort of into super lame games. Couldn't get over the weak voice acting. I also have no friends to hunt with, so that doesn't help.

This game didn't do much for me. Clunky mechanics and tiring battles. Ended up selling it about two weeks after I got it.

This is a TRUE rpg, which will suit some, just not me. The "living world" is ok(if you haven't played assassin creed origins.

I have over 100 hours into this game and feel like I have enough experience to write a solid review. Pros: Different style of weapons and armor, lots of options Very satisfying when you finally beat some of the harder monsters The monsters themselves are pretty cool, extraordinarily athletic for their relative sizes Cons: There's no pause. Seriously. This is so stupid. You're given a time limit and if you have to go to the bathroom in the middle of a monster fight, no pause. Kiddie type feel to the gameplay, you have a pun making cat for a partner, have to watch childlike cut scenes every time you eat and the handler might as well be straight out of a cartoon. The graphics and environments aren't that impressive (definitely not compared to Witcher 3) The game is a grind, kill monsters over and over and many times the same ones. Upgrade your equipment, repeat. Lots of things aren't explained well at all, like how to use the trees for weapons, when you actually use the insects/kinsects. The speaking of the characters is a huge disappointment, they don't even speak half the words. The storyline isn't very good either. There's a ton to this game and the learning curve is fairly steep I was overloaded with information the first 10 hours or so. Overall I do enjoy it, but it is a huge time commitment and only for those that enjoy grinding.

I don't see what's great about this game. the characters are mute and don't speak and gameplay is okay.

We were sold this game on the basis that is was online multiplayer. Come to find out you have to jump through multiple hoops just to get them involved and then comes the fact you can't play together in quest with cut-scenes, which is pretty much the entire game. Unless you want to play through the whole game on your own then play through it again with a friend.... FORGET ABOUT IT

I don’t get the appeal. Sold it shortly after purchase. Maybe I didn’t give it enough time.

This just didn’t get its hooks into me... I appreciate everyone’s love for it, but I just wasn’t for me.
