Failed in first month

The one month old receiver is now completely dead. My AV guy says Surgex is the way to go for surge protection.

Broke after 3 months

I was under the impression that this would be better due to it's brand name quality and last for several years. Unfortunately an electric heater, and humidifier connected on low settings was enough to bust this surge protector. Purchased a 15$ surge protector to do a similar job and i'll sacrifice the extra ports and usb slots. Manufacturer warranty only covers 30 day, best buy's 45 day elite returns is better but I am past due for both.

It couldn't accomadate all componet plug ins.

Way too expensive

I bought the 5 year Geek Squad Warranty so it protects against a surge anyway. If you buy this one, make sure it truly warrants it. You should be having SEVERAL devices hooked up. I only had my blue ray, TV and cable box.
