After a Nirvana boxed set and album reissues, there aren't any bombshells left for collections like this. And the sound montage that film is named after isn't here, either. Maybe it's on one of those extended/deluxe versions. Nevertheless, some good musical sketches. And a better, darker version of "Sappy" than I remember hearing elsewhere.

Taken from Kurt's boxes of cassette tapes, these demos and ideas for Nirvana songs are interesting. AND I LOVE HER cover shines. Fans of Lo-Fi and Guided By Voices take note.

If you're not a nirvana fan, stay far away. Only for fans that wanna hear some of Kurt's original sketches of songs. For most of them it might be a little weird.

Sure there is lots of raw demo footage, but for any fan of Kurt Cobain's music it makes a great addition .

This is Kurt at his most vulnerable. Keep in mind this is for the "true" Kurt Cobain fan.

The soundtrack to the film is equally intimate & revealing. Hear a side of Kurt that never made it to stage/disc/chart. It's the last nugget from a genius.

I thought this album was okay due to the at home recording sessions from Kurt Cobain. It reminded me of the with the lights out box set recordings. I really wasn't impressed.

Love the music. I would recommend to all fans of his music.

Honestly, I was hoping there would be the 31 tracks on this assortment of Kurt's early recordings, but the 13 on this cd give you the real Kurt, and some idea of how spontaneous he was with his writing. R.I.P. Kurt. You are missed!

Good cd and not to expensive. Good interviews with Kurt Cobain and a few songs that I never heard before. I also really like the art work on the cd. My boyfriend also really enjoyed this cd.

Was hoping it'd have a nirvana sound to it but was nothing worth the purchase. Will never listen to it again.

The CD is not very good. I would not waste money on it. The DVD may be better.

Besides entertaining I found this to be very interesting.

The Kurt Cobain Montage of Heck: The Home Recordings CD should be 31 songs, but this version only has 13 songs. This was not the album I thought I was purchasing. The real album has a yellow/orangish cover, but this one is kind of Pinkish. I recommend getting the real album, not this one. Going to see if Best Buy will allow me to trade up, or at least refund.

The "songs" on this record seem to just be scraps and stuff that Kurt never intended to be released publicly. Some tracks were decent, like the Beatles cover, but the album was not very good overall.
