I found through trial and error that a product of this genre (appliances, TVs, other entertainment items and accessories, etc.) effective coverage is only good up to 3 years max due to depreciation vs cost of repair (labor & parts costs). A printer I bought with a 6 year plan proved worthless in the 2nd year due to this cost effectiveness, but there was a refund of some of the plan premium. I have many "big ticket items" I bought. I must wait the two year protection expires to extend on some items. I will discuss the extended plan and extend based on the cost effectiveness model advised above. During the two year part, service is excellent (computers and TV system)). The rating is based on the printer situation, service on the bigger ticket items and cost effectiveness question. An excellent rating would be given on no "bumps," but there is no better plan out there (and probably isn't, if you find one - so go for it). That's why the yes recommendation.

I would recommend this to someone who is buying expensive items. Best buy has a great policy when it comes to repairing damaged items.

Purchasing the protection plan has been the best decison I have made; Best Buy has taken good care of my products when I have needed to take them in.

Feels secure that i can add all the devices i purchase at best buy to this. This includes all the new samsung devices

This saved my keyboard numerous times, not only from liquid spills, but crumbs! I thoughts toddlers were messy... and then i watched my fat self, devour a jug of whole milk and chocolate chips cookies... even santa was ashamed at me. thankfully this keyboard cover saved me!

We advise all family and friends to use the Best Buy annual service option. We get discounts and technical support if needed and free delivery highly recommended this service!

i have used Best Buy protection plan for several electronic devices and it is so very easy! No questions asked, just repair or replacement. I am a Best Buy plus member, so I do not pay extra which makes this protection plan the best out there for me. It is nice being able to work with a local store for repairs.

I was hesitant on purchasing the policy but I unfortunately had to use it and was pleasantly surprised on how easy Best Buy made it to replace my computer and they actually upgraded it because didn't have my exact model so they gave me the one better.
