If you buy anything at bestbuy, you need to buy this. It pays for its self.

If you are buying a new product, you really need to protect it with one of the plans offered by Geek Squad. I have been using them for years. Anytime I buy a laptop of other electronic item, I always protect it with one of their plans.

Highly recommend Total Tech Protect, so I purchased with my new laptop! I was able to apply the benefits to a new LG dishwasher I purchased a month later, with free delivery, install and haul-away, which wouldve cost $200+ alone. So it paid for itself already.

I like to get added protection for my computers since you never know what can happen. I haven't had to use it yet, but it is nice to know that I can get a replacement if I need to as I use the computer for my business and I am self employed.

I've gone through 5 laptops in 2.5 years. All of those failed from heat build up through design flaws. Best Buy replaced the first four with almost no complications. Unexpected cooperation from a retailer.

I've never had to use Best Buy's 24 month protection program. That's why I give it only 4 stars. I can only say that a person would be a fool not to purchase it these days since most of the garbage that comes from overseas is almost never up to US, EU, or Japanese quality standards. Also, who wouldn't want a little insurance coverage against accidents? Get it. It's worth every penny.

The one thing that makes me feel safe is my electronics. With the price so high knowing I am saving money makes me feel better. The high price of electronics makes me feel safe, knowing that I am saving money.
