If this is the membership tech fee, it is a little expensive in my opinion but nice to have.

Died 2years and 2mos. No help from local store. No help from manufacturer. Nobody will fix it. BestBuy still sells the defective product. Worst support ever.

I decided to purchase the total tech as I do a lot of business with Best Buy. It just makes more sense as I get added warranty coverage as well as tech support. I bought an Asus laptop and needed a little help with downloading some software. However when the tech finished with his remote access my backlit keyboard didn’t work, keep in mind I just purchased this laptop two hours prior. So I called back and the geek squad did another remote session and after that one my keyboard still didn’t work and my web browser would not connect to the internet. At this point I’m beside myself, I did a complete restore on the laptop and I’m back up and running. Needless to say I won’t be calling tech support back. I’ll give two stars because it’s not all bad as I still get the extended warranty but I’ve lost faith in the tech support.

They sold me a Best Buy membership claiming that it was international and it was not true! This was on the 25th of november 2024 and since then I have been dealing with the cancellation process and haven’t received the refund yet. Customer service is awful, they don’t reply emails, chat agents tell me each different things, I've contacted different managers at the store and no one has been able to help me. Don’t even bother to write them on social media, they repeat same script over and over again without proving any real solution. It's march 2025 and I still don’t have my refund.

It was helpful having this plan to ensure good service.
