    I bought three appliances at the same time from Best Buy. If I bought the protect plan as well for each of them, it would cost me few hundred dollars. A Best Buy Staff told me that it would be cheaper to purchase the My Best Buy Total™ membership that would protect the appliances I bought for up to 2 years (24 months). I believed him and I spent about $180 to purchase the membership. However, what he did not tell me is that I have to keep my membership to get this protection, that mean I have to pay another $180 to purchase the membership for next year when my membership expires. The total cost would be more than buy the protection plan. Moreover, the terms for the protection plan is not as good as that bought separately. I made a mistake! I don’t recommend this. I feel I was misled. I should have purchase a cheaper membership.
