Protection Plan useless
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a computer for my son who is at school in England last year. The family lives in NY. His computer (that we paid over $1500 for) started having issues as far back as April. At the time, I took it into a BestBuy TotalTech who confirmed that there is an issue with the battery that we are covered for. As his computer has now died (while at school in England) I contacted TotalTech today to advise them that the problem they confirmed has become terminal and asked how we can get it replaced. They told me I had to bring in the device (despite having a record in their system of the problem) - which I said was impossible. I then told them that as he needs a computer for school, I would have to buy him a new one. I asked if I could then get a refund on the purchase when I bring it back in in 3 weeks time after his school year finished. They said that isnt possible either. So I now find myself in a position where I have to buy him a new computer out of pocket and that the protection plan will be useless. I am a good customer of BestBuy and have bought many things from the over the years, but they just lost me as a customer for good.

Choose a different brand
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this dishwasher in 2020, and now its having to be completely replaced. it had a leak that couldnt be fixed and another part that was too expensive to be fixed so they said to order a new one under the warranty plan, but the credit is 150 dollars less than what it costs now. Samsung appliances don't last long, they're not reliable.
