Bonus for Best Buy protection

Not Happy Mom

I have wasted money on this TotalCare. Every electronic that I had bought from BestBuy was not covered by what I needed. I always need to pay extra!!! Also, my 77" LG tv was damaged, nothing could be done to fix nor replace... A total waste of time and money for 3 years. The tv had just turnd 1 year old. I was told the parts were not sold anymore for a 1 year old model tv. Ridiculous!!! It is a rip off for sure.

Unprofessional customer service

They recently cancelled a service call to my home and did not inform me. I have called them twice and each time I called they gave me conflicting information. I also called the service technician and he does not return calls either. They just cannot figure out how to get a simple repair scheduled and fixed. Im extremely disappointed and I’m not sure if I will continue with my membership.

Big Waist of money

Panel failed in 8 months. Sony discontinued parts.

I used total tech to install. Sony states they no longer manufacture parts for this tv, which was released in 2022. Under Geek Squad Protection I am now entitled to a tv or similar or less value. Please do not think that because you are paying more for a tv, that you will see higher quality. The overall experience of owning this tv and the process to repair it has poor.

Not worth it

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't know what the value add is by getting an extended warranty, my TV stopped working 91 days after it was installed, I contacted BB service, took 2 weeks to get someone to look at it, ordered parts and 2 weeks later came out, replaced basically everything except the plastic back cover and it still doesn't work now I have to go to LG to get it fixed. What's the purpose of a warranty if you can't fix it and you won't replace it? What am I paying for?

Geek Squad installed television

Very personable technicians and I was very please with the install. The television has amazing picture quality for the price.

Bad Protection Plan

I had garbled sound and sometimes no sound. Called Geek Squad to check out. They informed me that updates are sent automatically. They went into both remotes and fixed update problems and then HANDED ME A BILL FOR $135.00!!! I thought it was a joke since we were SOLD THE PROTECTION PLAN AND SUPPOSEDLY THE THOUGHT THAT EVERYTHING WAS COVERED FOR 2YRS. APPARENTLY NOT. I tried to fight with the store and geek squad but to no avail. I think this protection plan is sold under false pretence.

Best protection plan

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.From my research, Best Buy has some of the better protection plans for electronics and especially for things like TVs (worrying about burn-in on OLEDs, etc.). I usually don't purchase the added protection plans, but I'm happy so far with this plan. Recommended!

Good product/slow service response
