KING OF TV FOR 2025
I owned the G5 before moving to the S95F, and the G5 was honestly very overrated. It had issues across the board. Near-black performance was poor, with obvious posterization and noise. Color reproduction was also weaker since it relies on a WOLED panel with inferior color volume. While the G5 could push very bright whites, the image felt unbalanced—whites would pop aggressively while the rest of the colors lagged behind.
This imbalance was especially noticeable in SDR. In a bright room, once you crank up the brightness, colors become muted and dull. The S95F doesn’t suffer from this at all. On the Samsung, every bright element—whether white or color—looks equally bright and punchy.
LG’s processing also falls short. It tends to oversharpen the image, giving it a harsher, less natural look. The S95F, by contrast, produces a much cleaner, smoother, and more refined image. There’s a reason the S95F finished far ahead of the G5 in every major TV shootout in both the US and the UK. It placed second only to Sony—but that OLED lacks the brightness I need, is only available in 65", and is therefore a non-starter for me.
Don’t fall for the matte-coating hate pushed by influencers on social media and YouTube. It only looks bad in photos or in showroom environments with excessive lighting blasting the screen. In a real home environment—even a bright one—it looks spectacular. I wouldn’t recommend it for a sunroom, greenhouse, or balcony, but in a normal bright room it performs exceptionally well.
The lack of Dolby Vision is actually a benefit, not a drawback. LG made Dolby Vision noticeably dim this year, making it completely inadequate for bright-room viewing. Samsung, on the other hand, allows content to run at full brightness. Dolby Vision’s advantages mainly apply to displays under ~1000 nits peak brightness, and modern OLEDs are well beyond that.
Upscaling this year is near-Sony level and makes older content look as good as it possibly can. Motion handling is a massive improvement over last year’s models, with frame drops now being extremely rare—unlike previous Samsung OLEDs. The user interface is fast, fluid, and genuinely enjoyable to navigate, a significant upgrade over last year. I’ve had zero audio dropouts with my Sonos Arc Ultra, and the One Connect Box is flawless this year, with no HDMI dropouts whatsoever.
All things considered, this is the best TV money can buy in 2025. Don’t fall for paid influencers who downplay LG’s flaws while exaggerating the shortcomings of this TV.

Great support
I reluctantly bought the warranty plan. It paid for itself when a month later, my tv went on sale and I got the difference in price refunded. Also took advantage of tech support in connecting my Sonos Audio system.

Professional, Friendly, and Efficient
Joel Adair and Scott Adams from Geek Squad did an outstanding job with my TV installation. They were punctual, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable. Not only did they mount and set up my Samsung OLED flawlessly, but they also took the time to explain the features and made sure everything was working perfectly before they left.
What impressed me most was their attention to detail and how careful they were in handling my equipment and home. It’s rare to find service this reliable — I left the experience feeling completely confident and satisfied.
I highly recommend Joel and Scott for anyone scheduling an installation. They make the process smooth, stress-free, and absolutely worth it.

Ease and Convenience
Please look at the other review behind the protection plan. I love that the warranty is tied to the protection for all products purchased not just one individual item.
