Every time I called to get help I was put on hold over and over for up to 15 mins then was told it would take at least 10 days to send someone out no one tried to walk me through any kind of support. I fixed it myself by doing internet searches. After 2 months of this mess I did have 7 days left to return a $6000.00 TV And that's what I did. But that was another mess in itself. I'm not sold on total tech at all and it will keep me from purchasing expensive electronics from Best Buy again

Bonus for Best Buy protection

Watch out…Total Protect

LG has been out to my home 3X with a replacement board that did not fit Then comes Best Buy that told me it was not a problem if my TV can not process future firmware updates. End of story So don’t get talked into this at checkout. Unit is covered my manufacturer for 1 year If you don’t cancel subscription or card get ready for a charge on your card that the Bestbuy Total costs each year and auto renews. Just saying. Been buying from them for years. They should know better than getting loyal customers to sign up for such nonsense

Bad Experience with Beta Plan

There is zero coordination between Best Buy and the Geek Squad. I have spent $4,000 recently on tv’s and when I go back in for what is to be a free visit the Best Buy employees are clueless on what is covered on my Beta plan. I was told I had free adjustments and service for anything bought at Best Buy. I need a security strap and Best Buy does not carry them for a 75” tv. I am forced to buy one elsewhere and now I can not get the Geek Squad out without a charge. I have had nothing but problems since my first experience. I would like to know if I can exchange the Beta program for a five year warranty since no one really understands the program. Can someone please contact me or email me. I am losing faith in Best Buy and this program your employees are quick to sell need to understand what they are selling. I have a PHD in research and this plan has issues.

Panel failed in 8 months. Sony discontinued parts.

I used total tech to install. Sony states they no longer manufacture parts for this tv, which was released in 2022. Under Geek Squad Protection I am now entitled to a tv or similar or less value. Please do not think that because you are paying more for a tv, that you will see higher quality. The overall experience of owning this tv and the process to repair it has poor.

Not worth it

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't know what the value add is by getting an extended warranty, my TV stopped working 91 days after it was installed, I contacted BB service, took 2 weeks to get someone to look at it, ordered parts and 2 weeks later came out, replaced basically everything except the plastic back cover and it still doesn't work now I have to go to LG to get it fixed. What's the purpose of a warranty if you can't fix it and you won't replace it? What am I paying for?

Because I chose to pickup instead of delivery, I was blamed for the break of the screen from a clearly prior opened box that had been taped back. I should have opened tv box before leaving store.

Monthly B.B protection plan
