Extremely poor service. This has been a huge exercise in frustration dealing with Best Buy and their deplorable customer service. I bought this service to insure I was covered for a very expensive purchase and was lead to believe Best Buy would be in my corner if the advanced "smart" features of today's electronics proves to be not so smart. I have been dealing with a problem of our TV changing apps on its own and commonly does this during the worst times like minutes left in a hockey game or seconds before the Superbowl went into overtime. I have had technicians to my home 5 times and they have replaced the board in the TV 3 of those visits. I am being told Best Buy can't do anything about it until the manufacturer's warranty has expired. This was not explained when I bought this worthless membership to MyBestBuy. Also ALL phone calls go to a call center in India as opposed to your local store where you made the purchase. If you want to talk to someone at the store be ready to drive there as you CANNOT call the store. I am being told only the General Manager can make big decisions like taking an expensive TV back and she is never in the store. Be prepared to adjust your schedule including taking time off work so you can match the general managers schedule. Don't bother asking one of the assistant managers to have the general manager call you as the message will either not be delivered or ignored. Do Better Beat Buy. This experience has sucked.

Protection plans are helpful.... especially when items are given to children.

Haven't had to use it yet, hoping for the best if needed. Glad to know it's there.

Good value for warranty to have in case you need it.
