The scheduled service window was communicated as 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. At 1:00 p.m., having received no updates, I called to track the delivery. During that call, I spoke with a representative named Ivan, whose manner was dismissive and unprofessional. He stated that the delivery window was 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and, despite my explaining the confirmed delivery timeframe previously provided to me, I was told I would simply need to wait. At no point was I contacted to advise of a delay, nor was I able to track the delivery route, as the tracking icon was nonfunctional. At approximately 1:45 p.m., I received a call from the delivery driver stating he would arrive in 30 minutes, which he did. In contrast, the delivery team was polite, professional, and worked efficiently. They completed the installation within an hour, demonstrated a strong work ethic, and did an excellent job. The issue was not with the delivery personnel, but with scheduling communication and customer service support. Improved coordination between scheduling and delivery teams, as well as more professional customer service interactions, would significantly improve the overall experience

Great service worth the price

It is not cheap, but the Riverdale Best Buy has experienced help and they really seem to be honest and straightforward. Management of this store should be commended.

I got it with my laptop, and when I accidentally dropped it a few months later, Geek Squad handled everything. No stress, no crazy fees — they repaired it fast and kept me updated the whole time. It’s such a relief knowing that if something happens, I’m covered. The peace of mind alone makes it worth the price. Definitely recommend adding the protection plan for anything expensive or easy to damage!

The customer service I've received is top-notch. Being able to call or walk into a store and immediately get expert support for any of my covered devices has saved me so much time and frustration. The technicians are knowledgeable, and the entire experience, from diagnostic to resolution, has been incredibly smooth and positive. This program is worth it for the service alone!

Best Buy Protection is the Best

The Geek Squad transfers all of my data from my old laptop to my new one, which normally costs $100. For me it is free because of the best buy protection. The Geek Squad team are always very helpful.

The customer service team at the return exchange counter have always been very helpful and having that total tech protection program makes things easier for them and for me.!

What I love is the no-hassle process—when something goes wrong, you aren’t left fighting for coverage. Geek Squad makes it easy to get repairs, replacements, or support quickly. It really takes the stress out of buying tech, especially when you’re investing in bigger-ticket items. Knowing my purchase is protected gives me the confidence to use and enjoy it without worrying about accidents or breakdowns

If you buy a lot from Best Buy sign up for their Best Buy total plan where everything you buy automatically gets a 2 year extended warranty.

Pretty simple and handy

It includes the protection plan. As salesman always say it's worth it. Yet this is different, they cover everything and make it so simple. Either replace it if it's in stock or cash back of what you paid for it. Doesn't get easier than that!

Geek Squad help

The nearest Best Buy is a 45 minute drive away ... on my initial visit. with an appt made, I still had to wait 15 min for help. Help location had very uncomfortable benches/chairs.

Laptop Protection

Got it for a laptop years ago. I spilled coffee on it. Took it to Geek Squad to see if they could help me. Laptop was toast, They gave me store credit worth the purchase price so I could get a replacement laptop. I had that laptop for about 18 mos.

I bought a TV for my sister and when it stopped working 1.5 yrs later they brought her a new one! Took to broken one and remounted. Only had to pay the $50! EASY PEASY!

Especially, if your home is filled with all types of technology devices! Not only does this protection plan protect the device(s( purchased at the time, it also protects any devices already owned!! Regardless if you purchased through Best Buy or not and/or the age of the device! If it's repairable through GeekSquad, your membership is active, and you own the device.. Well, your covered! I promise you won't regret it! You may forget about paying the monthly/annual membership, but when the time comes one of your devices fail you, you’ll panic at first, but then remember, "Oh, I have the Best Buy Membership Plan!" Bam! All set and saved! Try it. If you don't want to make any more monthly/annual payments then cancel it! No harm, no foul! Right? Well... not until something breaks a week later after canceling your membership or not having one to start with! Lol! This is not a paid advertisement or affiliated with Bfor my reviews! This is just how I roll!
