Like any type of insurance, it may be worth way, way more than you spend, or it may be unnecessary. We buy enough things that it always saves us money and helps me to better use our products. I even get a remote check up twice a year. Main problem is tech support has gone downhill over the four years we have been buying from Best Buy. I have trouble understanding what they say and my confidence level in what they do is waning. I own an iMac and they don't seem to know the product. But using them to install products is very good
