When you purchase anything from Bestbuy, you are always protected under geek squad protection for two years for that product, starting from the date of the purchase and the same scenario for the upcoming purchases from best buy as well. Totally worth it.

Excellent service. My Sony Linkbuds stopped working a little more than a year after I bought them. Sony's warrenty was for 1 year. But with the protection plan, Best Buy did a return for me. Was able to use the credit for some new stuffs in the store. Highly recommended.

I cannot imagine not having total tech. I have had the Geek Squad install everything from tvs to cameras and it never cost me anything. I also saved a fortune in having to buy extended warranties as total tech gives me 24 months on everything I buy.

As a Christmas gift, I got my wife the Prime and she got me the Elite. We didn't want to keep both, so we kept the Elite because it's a little bit quieter. In my household, the quieter the better. As far as performance - they both have the same overall effect. If I were a bachelor, I would've stuck with the Prime.
