Really like this protection for our Products we purchase from Best Buy.

Literally nothing but trouble since I got this headset. Connectivity problems are constant. Meta regularly puts out updates that break airlink. Plus the Meta Horizon Link app is completely broken and I’ve had to reinstall it a dozen times due to it getting stuck on the headset setup screen. When it does connect it is fine, but that is an exception. I keep holding out hope that it will work consistently, but I’m over a year in and I still roll the dice every time I decide I want to play a vr game. It’s been over 2 months since I have been able to successfully launch airlink without it disconnecting 30 seconds in. All of this is with a recommended third party WiFi router and a strong connection. I recommend waiting until steam puts out their next headset and paying a few hundred extra dollars for a better piece of equipment. I wish I could return it, but I decided to keep giving it another chance until it was too late. Don’t make my mistake!

I have been a Best Buy total protect member for a few years now and I have to tell you it is a must. Everything you purchase is covered for two years with an option to extend it on items if needed. I had an issue with my quest 3 having some tracking issues a little over a year from having it. I was able to exchange it for a new one without any issues. If you happen to be into tech it’s a definite must have.

Great option over most anything else a third party would tack on regarding any type of "insurance". Just read the fine print on the process, and what to expect before you join up, because this did change a bit from the previous iteration. Talk to the geek squad and ask for some examples of situations where this service is used. It's not all free simply because of this service, some things are simply reduced in cost...or they have to send it off and you may have to wait for a repair, vs a replacement...if you are in here alot, its a no brainer.

The Best Buy Protection is worth the cost. I often buy new products that don't have a lot of real-world use yet. It is a comfort to know my products are protected. Admittedly I haven't had to actually use this service to date. But I do sleep better knowing that if I run into trouble Best Buy will make it right. Typically I do not buy warranties of any kind other than for very large purchase such as cars. But newer products often have quality issues. I buy office equipment for my businesses and unfortunately Best Buy did not carry some of them and I bought them out of warranty from other retailers. I regret that now since I have multiple office products that started to fail within months of purchase. I check the Best Buy website first from now on.
