First off, the Switch version of this game is not bad at all as far as the main gameplay is concerned. The visuals definitely take a hit, but when you're in a fight, they're most noticeable during closeup shots of the characters or during specific moves such as their hair or the blood. However, the controls are responsive and it plays really well. The downside is the Krypt and navigating the menus. The menus run a little slow and the Krypt is atrocious to look at. You don't have to play the Krypt, but if you want some of the goods it offers, you have to deal with how it runs. It's awful. The game overall is fun, but what drops the rating is that the Krypt even exists. That's not a knock on the Switch version, but just the game. Things like that to unlock costumes or other items just isn't my cup of tea.

While this game runs surprisingly well I still would recommend getting it on another console. Everything feels slightly lower quality on the switch version and I found myself just wanting to play it on PS4.

If you have liked any of the games in the mortal kombat series than you will enjoy this game. There is a much more detailed story element but it doesn't detract from the intense fighting from the games in the past. Yes you can do some cheeseball moves but amongst friends that won't be an issue.

The game is fun and plays similar to past MK games with added extras like customizable presets for all characters. Graphics take a hit compared to the other consoles but that’s due to the Switch’s power. Overall great game.

Its a little uncomfortable holding the switch with the joycons attached for a fighting game controller, but if you have a pro controller or that little thing that holds the joycons together it works great. Duh it's a good game mk rules.

My kids have an awesome time playing this game and against each other. If you or your kids have the switch, I highly recommend this purchase. It's whats new and in these days. All they talk about is MK11. Great quality for the switch.

I enjoyed this game, my wife and friends like playing for some fun or just to kill some extra time. The single player is very long, about 6 hours of story play, so if you buy this game it should be to play friends or family because the single player mode isn't very long.

This game is almost everything you don’t want for the Switch. Pros: nice Graphics. Voice acting. Cons: micro transactions. SO. MANY. MICROTRANSACTIONS. need internet to DOWNLOAD THE GAME. Even tho you have a Physical copy need to download the ENTIRE Game to your system memory which is a ridiculous amount of space. You NEED to be ONLINE TO PLAY THE GAME. ((So you cannot go offline and play anywhere like how the switch was made for!)) This game truly is the worst for the Switch capability. And truly truly feel more like a cashgrab than a fun game.

Not the best game ever but it’s inexpensive and entertaining for a few hours. Graphics are incredible and if you grew up in the 90’s playing this game I definitely recommend it.

I'm a novice when it comes to gaming. I picked Mortal Kombat because I've always wanted to play this game. Im currently learning the basic and kombo attack moves. COVID-19 has afforded me time. And with that time I'm keeping myself occupied.

It’s a good game. But I was expecting more out of it. It is complicated to get the the 2 player setting. It does take up a lot of space on your memory so make sure you do buy and SD card.

Game play is fun, frames are a bit slow compared to the big boy systems - graphics are meh but this is to be expected on a lesser platform. Overall great to have on the go.

Got this on sale and it’s a great version of MK, fun. But a bit annoyed that it required a 25 GB download, why isn’t the full game on the cart? You should probably get for another system.

This game runs really well however, the graphics aren't great on my 4k tv. Don't buy this game if you want a slick looking graphics. The game plays very well, especially with the Nintendo switch pro controller.

Could have been a better port but you get the game on the Switch. Other than that this is quite a different MK to previous titles when it comes to game mechanics and fighting system.

A Great game to play, amazing characters with different styles of fighting, and really bloody if you’re into that. Highly recommended, will most definitely tell my friends about this

I’ll start out by saying that I owned the original Mortal Kombat on Sega Genesis (Gen1, and every subsequent release and version since. I’m a huge fan. I’m also a huge fan of the Switch. Unfortunately, the game runs mediocre on that system. The game itself is amazing (if you ignore the crazy amount of dlc for sale), but it loses its polish on the Switch. I still play it, but it’s far more enjoyable on a different system. Great story mode, love the new tower platform, the Krypt feels rushed. Not a huge fan of having to be online all the time in order to gain my rewards. Also, be ready for HUGE mandatory initial download (something like 20 GB). As a collector, I recommend it. As a gamer...meh for Nintendo’s version.

I mean, you aren't getting anything new here. The game plays pretty much the same as it did in 1996. Worth the $25 on sale if you're into that sort of thing.
