Bare Bones Version of MK11

Get if price is sub $10. Otherwise buy the superior Aftermath Collection or better yet, Ultimate Edition

The story mode seemed sooo short and so easy until I got to Kronika at the end. I like the feature of being able to use my mobile app and console to get rewards.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.honestly i'm not big into the mortal kombat games but bought this to try out since my roommate got it and we wanted to battle. the only thing that really annoyed me is how complicated it was JUST to play my roommate 1vs1, so many different places to go to find the category. then theres the controls that aren't 100% responsive when you hit them and then they reverse when your character turns the other direction so gets confusing. also you don't get many characters out of the box when you buy it so another downfall. anyways it wasn't my cup of tea but if your a die hard mortal kombat player then you will most likely love it.

Worst MK I've played

From the costumes to the moves it's just not what I was expecting. Ii cant seem to get new costumes outside of the crypt and the moves (the button sequence that needs to be pushed) have changed. Takes WAY to long to progress and unlock the desired items. I'll stick with MKXL or the older versions.

Despite that, I feel that the MK 10 was more detailed and held better graphics. Sure this one looked cleaner and smoother but that is because it held less detail. Now for the storyline. It probably only second to the weakest storylines of all the MK series. I actually fell asleep during one of the cutscenes but I stuck through it since I bought the game and I wanted to finish it. But yes, I was anticipating the moment it would come to an end so I can see a couple of fighters ending and put it away in my collection. Fighting wise. Perhaps in this area, there was an improvement. It was easier to execute your intended action but there was a lack of flow. So, in the end, can I really say it was a step-up? Not really. In short, I like collecting games but I would have done very well by not acquiring this one. I do NOT recommend.
