This is a very good fighting game with diverse charecters and next Gen graphics.

with a new fully-connected gameplay experience, players are launched into a persistent online contest where every fight matters in a global battle for supremacy. Players step into an original story showcasing some of the game’s most prolific characters including Scorpion and Sub-Zero, while introducing new challengers that represent the forces of good and evil and tie the tale together.

This is a great, fun game. Mainly, I have only fought against my husband, but he plays story mode and thoroughly enjoys it. It is a fighting game-- so if you're not really into that, why are you even bothering to read this? And, it is (in typical Mortal Kombat fashion) brutal and gory-- especially the 'Fatality' moves. I had to knock a star off because of the long wait times for online play. Even if you decide you want to cancel and just back out of looking for an online opponent, it won't let you despite the option (press 'O' for cancel) sitting on the screen.

Visually outstanding, excellent game play without being overly complicated.

This is one of the best mk games out and the ps4 makes it look even better

Great new characters, awesome fight sequences. I had not played this is the second game but well worth the wait. Love the ability to play online.

If you play this game on your tablet or phone, link the accounts through WB PLAY and receive additional rewards. The game allows you to play as almost any character and lets you play as any one of that character's 3 profiles. Other than that, this the only similarity to the mobile game. This is a fusion of the mobile game (of the same name) and the Mortal Kombat of old.

Mortal Kombat came with a furious punch, meeting and exceeding expectations for a game and as expected, it still contains the same gory fatalities.

It's an awesome entry into the MK franchise. Looks great on the current consoles (and PC). The three different fighting styles available to each fighter provides a lot of potential variety. The background interactions taken from MK VS DC are a cool minor addition. Really, the only downside to the game is all the unlockables in the Krypt. You will only open a tiny fraction of them by completing the story mode. I can't imagine how many hours it would take to unlock everything. Coincidentally there is a $20 unlock for sale in the digital store... lame.

Having stayed away from the MK series for most of my life, I decided to give this one a chance after playing NeatherRealm's Injustice: Gods Among Us. Although the gore is excessive at times, the game is just plain fun. That is something that is often lost in the current generation of video games. I would recommend this game to almost anyone. You'll know if it's not your style.

Great fighting game, and easily one of the better Mortal Kombat titles. Only short coming is all the DLC/"micro-transactions" necessary in order to get a full game experience. Costume packs I understand, even on down to different arenas, etc.. I just do not agree with paying the prices $6 per additional character, then slap on another $24 - $30 for a half-half hearted season pass, plus an additional $3 -$4 for most costume packs. Still, those are optional purchases that I choose to not invest my money in, usage may vary and to each their own.

For those waiting on a true NEXT GEN fighting game, look no further!!!! NRS has given us all the amazing gift of MKX. Following up on the massive release on last gen systems, MKX steps everything up to 11. A robust story, online modes, and tons of content await anyone who buys this game. I cant suggest this title enough. Dont sit on the fence, GET OVER HERE....and play MKX.

I have been playing Mortal Kombat since MK 1 and 2 came out. This version of MK is very good. Graphics are great. Controls are great. The I don't like is how all these newer games are going to a model that keeps you buying stuff. Certain characters that you should be able to play as you have to buy. Gone are the days when you are awarded new players for defeating the game.

i haven't played any mortal kimbat since MK3 and this one drew me in. The story is pretty good, but it's the gameplay that still rules fighting games. Three variations to each character make allow you to change up your strategy and play style keeping the game fresh for a long while. Online gameplay works great, I don't notice any input lag. I would recommend this game.
