But not like the original, didnt have the nostalgia I was hoping for

My son seems to enjoyed it.I do notice that there is quite a bit of violence though.

I am new to this world, and I like that ypu can change characters.

I was severely disappointed that you had to pay real money to unlock characters. Lame.

This is the best Mortal Kombat game that I have played so far. I have been a fan of the game since the very first one. The graphics are great and the controls are smooth. Every character seems to fight in their own unique way w/o any carbon copy fighters. I'm a little bummed that Smoke isn't playable, but I'm not giving up hope that he'll be released as DLC down the line.

i've never played any of the mortal kombat games, but after hearing about this game and watching the trailer i wanted to get it, picked it up today and gotta say im impressed, the gameplay is fluid, combos and fatalities are just flawless, in short a total fun package, money well spent and if you are into fighing games? go get a copy of it today!!!!!

The preowned cd was horrible. I tried 5 times to install it and it would reach 40% and stop. I ended up returning it and exchanging it for a new un owned version . The new cd version installed immediately with no issues at all.

I hadn't played a MK game in a very long time. I have to say this game is great! It has fast gameplay and great response to controls for special moves. It's also great that you can change character's skins to the classic look when feeling nostalgic.

I bought this a couple weeks after release. Overall I enjoyed the story, but the multiplayer can be hit and miss literally! It's a solid title but the story is missing closure in parts. ie. Cassie Cage should subdue Kung Jin's rash action in one part but laughs at his insubordination. Some characters are present like an Expendables movie cameo. I would have preferred to just kill off the old crew and have a totally new crew. Timelines are weird, some characters seem to exist past their expiration. Kung Lao seems to be presented as an ancestor to Kung Jin? Anyway on to the multiplayer. I like the multiplayer aspect, king of the hill and towers for single player daily / weeklies. The lag was bad sometimes. But I found that only happened 5% of the time. There is a built-in crypt dungeon crawl that provides loot for the coinage you earn for matches. The DLC is the only negative, I never knew it took so much work to make a character and some skin. At about $5 a char, I can't seem to care about them. $1.99 is a better deal. Glad MK still matters!

I simply can't put this game down!! From the graphics, the story, and game play this is one of the best MK game ever! If you want a great fighting game, Mortal Kombat X is the one to get!!!!

If you liked the MK9 fighting style this one is not that much different. The most noticeable difference is the addition of the three fighting styles which will allow for some more customization to the player's playing style. Cool addition in my view. I still haven't played tower battles yet but that is coming soon. Characters have 3 fatalities and I believe 6 brutalities each, additionally there are faction kills which are specific fatalities to each faction. I believe there are five of these in total. While not as fancy as the individual characters fatalities they are really easy to pull off. I can only speak for the Lin Kuei faction kills at this point. They are just ok but an unexpected addition.

The game looks terrific. Fun to play and watch. Large number of selectable characters, plus many as DLC.
