go with a non combo modem with a separate router

After numerous attempts, reboxed and got refund. Bought arris. Was actually replacing this exact modem with this new one. Reason for replacing was as other people have reviewed, after 1 year performance was horrible. After many attempts of reconfiguring rebooting and everything I could not get 25 megs of speed on 2.4 OR 5.0 frequencies. Bought Arris and immediatley got the 300 megs I pay for. Wirelessly. At this rate better to lease from xfinity than buy this one.

Attracted by the brand, but the Motorola of the 80’s is gone. Weak and unattractive modem router. Not even a mobile app to control. The time zone was off by 2 hrs, when I emailed them they put the blame on ISP.

Terrible internet speeds.

We set it up on a Friday and it seemed to be doing okay. On Monday when we started to work from home, it could no longer handle what we needed it for. My boyfriend was on a zoom call, while streaming music in the background. I was trying to load a video on YouTube at the same time. We returned it that same night and went with the more expensive NETGEAR Nighthawk, we've had no problems since. Ended up being about $60 more but worth it if you have people working from home.

DHCP CLIENT woould not reconize mac addresses connected via ethernet. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE. I pluged my camera into an ANCIENT router to this router. My cameras popped up immedately. This router will not read mac addresses and let you use devices you connect to it. If you only need wifi that works fine so far.... RETURNING

Ethernet LAN stopped working
