Works fine for most of the time. However needs a reboot once every 3-4 weeks to get rid of slow network issues. Definitely better than my old Modem-Router combo though. Strongly recommended.

This is pretty reliable. It is a bit expensive and sometimes the buttons are confusing as to what the lights mean but otherwise I like it and it seems to stay connected well and last a long time!

Bought this for my son so he would not have the pay the $14 a month rental fee for Comcast Xfinity. The technician hooked it up with no issues. Shows both 5ghz & 2.4ghz SIDs, This is helpful when setting up smart devices that only use 2.4ghz. This will pay for itself in 9 months.

When I first connected the modem (MG7540) and connected to the internet via an Ethernet line, the connection was intermittent, meaning I would go from page to page and all of a sudden the page either couldn't be displayed or no internet connection. Going back to the previous page there was no problem then clicking on the same link it went straight to the page that would previously not display. Sometimes the page would show no internet connection, then about 10 seconds later the page would appear. Also, the internet did not work very fast. Checking the wifi signal it turns out the signal goes to one bar once you get about 20 feet away from the modem. Even a router for a dorm room is stronger than this. I switched to the cable company's modem and the problems went away. The internet worked faster and no intermittent drop offs. Needless to say, I returned this modem.

we had too many smart appliances taking up bandwidth. our internet was at 100 before this now it is at 237 (tested with ookla) with the 4 ethernet plugs in the back we are able to do a lot more.

Avoid this product. Has led to me dropping several video conferences with key clients. The only thing worse than the product is the customer service. Submitted a ticket for assistance over 12 hours ago and haven't received a response. Have also been on hold with the customer service phone number for 60 minutes... TWICE and have not yet spoken with a single tech. When working it gives me the speeds I pay for. The problem is that nearly every two hours the modem will reboot itself and kick me offline. AVOID

DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE. Had to have cable company come out. They said the modem was trying to download firmware but wouldn't take it. So it would just keep dropping connection until it gave up. Usually took about 45 minutes. Then when I did get a connection, it was trash. To make this worse you could not get Motorola on the phone. You couldn't even leave a message for them to call you back like they said you could. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER MOTOROLA PRODUCT AGAIN. My phone is still sitting on hold after an hour and half.
